Dany's Garden # 1

szarvas, Hungary

Time for me to put some pics.
Here is perhaps the best bloom for the 2009 season.
See the blue vein at 1 o'clok PM , middle size flower with typical Youjiro foliage.
Quality of the pic not soo good !

In 2009 I will grow JMG on 3 different places in quantity and other places in little groups.
Here is the Dave's Avenue .
64 containers of 6 gallon ,sometime 3 cultivars in one container.
As you can see , no tag ! every identity is on paper.

The second place is Bakker Square:
127 containers rarely with 2 cultivars.
Sometime with bigger containers with Nil and Purpurea or Tricolor.

The third place is the bigger.
4 grating with 97 cultivars each .

A group is the Japanese corner .
60 cultivars comming from Japan .( container of 1 gallon )

The 2 first months of this spring were dry that why I think I'm later .And the soil that I've prepared for the container was too rish ( too much manure ) and I have to change everthing.
No rain !

But now we have rain every day , the vine are running everywhere , they grow too large, it's nightmarish !
In a few week it will be here a tsunami of flower.

Dany - OMG!!! YOU seriously ROCK my SOCKS OFF with your set-up! Unbelievable! I love it!!!!

I genuinely love the bloom in your first photo! How absolutely stunning! All of them are awesome! I also am amazed at your Feather Kniola's Black! Very cool!!!

And thanks for posting a photo of the Purple NOID grow-out! Looks great! :-)

How the heck are you gonna collect seeds from ALL of these vines! LOL! Now that would be the real nightmare! LOL! OMG!!!!

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

BTW - I am really impressed with the cage/trellis in the pots. Can you take a photo of one of the pots with it's trellis/cage. I want to see how you made it. Looks very sturdy and functional! :-)

You are the MG MAN!!!! LOL! (Either that or totally insane! LOL!)

Brooksville, FL(Zone 9a)

Love your blooms Danny, esp the Feathered Kniola's Black.
Unbelieveable amount of work on your part to grow M Glories on
such a large scale.

(Zone 7a)

I am so impressed. You're inspiring me, although on a much smaller scale, unless I figure out how to grow MGs vertically in tippy pots or Boca Bob's bean tower...I'd need an army of pruners.

Wishing you lots of luck with this enterprise...Enterprise*...*Going where no MG man has gone before* lol

Dany, I just love this onehttp://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=6784249.

Does the corn plant form edible corn, or is it purely ornamental? I like the color in the leaves.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Dany, I like your style, they look really good, I especially like the tomato cage on the table set up.. hope we can trade this fall.. Debra

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Luv this one!! http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=6784249

I hope the blue dots JMG you got from me makes the reverse tube it should have. Maybe other flowers will make the reverse tube for you, Dany.

You do have quite the set up for growing these vines, congrats!
