Robina also works so beautifully with the daylily next to it.

This was purchased as African Queen. Some strain of gold trumpet anyway.

Thanks Pirl. That's Julie Newmar, a favorite.

I must apologise for the completely wrong ID's.
Pay no attention to that woman.

moby, I wonder if my NOID is 'Shocking' because I seem to remember (dimly) obtaining two similars when I orginally got Touching. That's a nice reference listing by Lily Nook. and thanks for the nominee ge.

Love the al-lily-um-almost looks like an alien in the first shot..

jmorth, I was wondering about Shocking as a possibility for your noid as well.

I really like raspberry on whip, and wow, what a lot of nice blooms lincolnitess!

I've had high expectations for my Ortega and they're not quite being met. I'm not getting loads of blooms. They are tall this year, but only 3-5 buds. I think that they have done a little offestting, though-there are babies down underneath. But for the spot they're in, I want a heavier bloomer. Are everyone else's behaving similarly or do they need three years?

I don't like the doubles all that well, but that first crown is nice!

I think it was Ramona who posted a pic of a combination she didn't like. Here's a painful error-I moved the WRONG lily-this should be pinks, burgundies, and whites...I think orange and dark burgundy is uglier than orange and pink.

this is late, but newyorkrita, I am just so blown away by your lilies I don't have a thing to say about them-just wow...

I think those collages are neat, I need to figure out how to try it. I probably need different software

an imposter in the lily pot...but I think I'll keep it.... ;)

I use Picasa,it was a hard software for me to learn but thankfully I have a ggek daughter who walked me thru just the features I needed.

susybell, your imposter is adorable. I think I would keep it also. Absolutely wonderful lilies!
My want list keeps growing.

susybell- I just love, love, love that first picture you posted today at 12:39. Now thats the kind of jumble of color that I would do myself if I had thought of it. Just stunning, even with the orange in the middle. Its funny, I opened the picture and looked at it and then read your comments after. I didn't think it looked wrong or out of place at all. Just goes to show how tastes differ.

Thank you for the complement on my lilies, They are looking pretty good this year. No new lily pictures today though.

Nice soft colors

TwinLakes, I don't think it's a fern-leaf peony. I still think it's a weed.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

I think it's fennel.

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

Oh my gosh...so many beautiful lilies. Can I have one of each? I have just the place for them. Lol. What a great lily year for all of you indeed!

Wonderful! Great photo as well.

NYRita, (blush) Thank you! I'll have to give a lot of credit to Mother Nature, all the Nicotiana's are volunteers from last year. I've discovered that they do a good job of camouflaging tall lily stems when they're done blooming, but they're a bit out of control. I guess the whole bed is, really. It was new last year so I've been playing around with lots of things trying to decide what I like best. I sometimes let things grow where they will just to see what they'll do-add some spontaneity, I guess. Here's a shot of more of the whole bed from about a week ago before the lilies started opening. I've also got Ortega and Scheherazade lilies in there, along with the volunteer poppies, echinaceas, the salvia, scabiosa, and knautia and some fluffy daisies.

ge1836, I keep hearing how great Picasa is. I really will have to check it out. Thanks for letting me know what you're using.

As far as my furry imposter, can you believe that someone abandoned him? We took him in as a neutered stray last fall. But, he's angry with me today as I dared to try and remove all the bedstraw weed seeds from his fur-the nerve! He was actually lumpy from them-grrr. Don't know where he found a patch that big, but I asked him not to go there again. I told him if he'd bring home seeds of something I wanted to grow I wouldn't be quite so insistent, lol.

Like that Canada noid, and pirl's lilies, too. So many lilies, so little space...sigh

Those poppies are lovely in there susybell.

And 'Brushstroke' is just wonderful.

Agawam, MA(Zone 6a)

susybell, I noticed your pot in the front. How come we gardeners always run out of space or are waiting to find the exact right place to add our new acquistion. Right now I have about five pots waiting to find the right place to make them an addition to my garden. Beautiful garden pictures.
Debbie
PS. Love your furry imposter, I have four.

North Shore of L. I., NY(Zone 6b)

susybell- Its very pretty!!! I am not much good at mixing lots of perrenials together so I tend to use ones that I know will work for me. Like the daylily and lily combos I am quite found of.

I cant wait for BuggyCrazy to post the fall lilies. There are so many I want just seeing them here.

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

Nice seedlings pardalinum! Susybell, great cottage look with all those poppies. I like orange and burgandy and in fact was thinking of making an orange and purple bed with lots of Drama Queen poppies. Just not enough room. pirl, Ginza is a new one to me. Really like the color.

Susan
