Yess they are lisianthus. I hope to winter them over in the GH... The stems of the toadflax get longer as they bloom more. You can always take some of the lower leaves and flowers off...

My banana is blooming... I was told it was Musa velutina, which produces a pink fruit (ornamental) but I looked it up and it appears that is not what it is... Interesting anyway.

Thanks Sally, the squirrels turn up everyday causing havoc! I love the Hollhocks, the tall white are Lavateria, they give a bit of height and block my neighbour a bit lol!

Thanks Yardqueen, If I remember correctly your Hollyhocks are lovely doubles? Looking forward to those

Terri,

I have several kinds of HH from seed, but I have not had any bloom yet. You may have me mixed up with someone else... I will have some doubles if they ever bloom. They may not bloom till next year.

the flower with the toadflax is celosia. It is kind of blurry so hard to tell...

Asparagus fern... This was rescued last fall from my mother, who had it in the same pot for (and I am not exagerating) about 50 years. She got it from my grandmother who died when I was about 10. I am 61. sooo... anyway, it was a scaggly couple of sticks when I got it. the tubers filled the pot. It is feeling much better now...

It's good to see the family Asparagus making a comeback Yardqueen!
Your pond looks wonderful, such beautiful planting around it. Thanks for the pics today.

It's raining here, just typical the first week of my summer holidays and we get thunderstorms...!

Yardqueen, just wonderful photos! Stunning. I love the begonias and coleus.

How nice to have your g.mother's asparagus fern. I have an azalea from my g.mother who is gone now. So special.

Yardqueen everything looks very luscious at your place. I love those little shrimp plants.
Terri you got yourself a red hot poker it did survive.
I believe it is me who has the double white hollyhocks. Yours look great!
I can imagine the pond there and what a surround it has, wow loads of color!

Oooops! we cross posted! The lilies are lovely! And white lavender doesn't sound any worse than a yellow rose or white pinks. Or a pink Texas Bluebell!
