Thank you
Crissy, oh/oh and here you thought he'd never make it..how did he get there, not the old car you didn't think would make it...well, the good news could have been he's not staying with you!
Got a call last night to remind me about the memory book class on Sunday..drats I forgot..Carol was hoping the class could also attend on Friday night to learn book binding method so that Sunday class would be much easier, shucks, that's not how I want to spend Friday night..booked the memory book class about 2 months ago, how did I know it would rain the entire week before and be sunshine on Sat.Sun. now I'll be sitting in a studio..oh well...I'm going to ask Carol if I'm at portrait class tonight if perhaps she could show me then, doubt it because there will be others in the clas....what to do/what to do?
How are you all, planning big weekend celebrations? If not planning them, attending some I hope...
I'd better get my things together for tonights class, find the list of what I have to purchase for Sunday class..there is 2 hrs. between my getting off work to 7pm class so need to do some shopping..
Now that will be my worse of today I would think..but one never knows..lol
LOL Tubby!!
I guess he somehow bought a Jaguar, like I said, all show no go. He doesn't know where we live. Dave told me he's not staying with us because of respect for me, I told him he's not staying with us because Roy has our only spare bed and no one is sleeping on the couch.
Drats!! I found a roach on my kitchen counter this morning and it got away!!! We keep the dishes done, counters wiped off, even sweep between the stove and counters. The only thing I can think of is we live out in the woods and just had the outside of the house sprayed and it came in. It was tall, long, skinny, with a round shell, not the flat squat kind.
Well Betty, you have provided my morning laugh.
Tubby posts the 60+ above your post....with one being "Storing memory is not a problem...retrieving it is"
And then you post "Memory Book....I forgot about it" Well the fact it was a memory book....you knew you booked the class...then forgot it....well, just gave me the giggles. LOL
too funny Debbie, you are right, should have a notepad memory book right? this is the project..I'll not put the danglings on the book, when it's open as you can see, all those little ribbon ties are holding photo's...got to shake my head, not sure it's worth $100. though..$50. for class then there are a zillion things I need...so will be shopping for sure at lunch and after work...
Are you getting all this rain as well Debbie?
Crissy, do you know BIL well, were you raised in same community? come on girl, a few blankets and a pillow and he's all set..you must have floor space somewhere...
ohhhh for the bug...was going to say it could be because of dampness but from what you say your heat is, that's not likely it...
Judy, you all packed up, almost ready to head out...thinking of all the wonderful things that will happen this weekend, brother's wedding, get to see friends you haven't seen in awhile, spoiling those children...come on now 'smile' and the whole world will 'smile' with you...
Forgot to include the link for the 'memory book' then click on 'card' on left hand side column

Sharon just sent me this link...Inuk's weekend winnings...
http://webhome.idirect.com/~keluk/
Betty, I slept well most of the night...and I think due to the fact I was listening to the rain. Something very peaceful about that. And it is still raining this morning. I have so much to do in the yard before Saturday...might have to just grin and bear it and get out there. Our street will be packed a mile up the road almost. We literally get anywhere from 3 to 6 thousand people....or more here. Mind you we just had 62 in the graduating class....so small town. If the weather is nice, more will poor in from surrounding areas.
Yesterday was a case of "tough love" for Shannon, and she is now enrolled and registered in college...along with a dorm room, which she really did not want and was fighting. We both need this part. Made an agreement she could come home on Fridays if no class, so she can keep her job down at the store for extra money.
Kids are still sleeping, but DH is home. He made a lovely breakfast cassarole which I am sure was NOT good for my diet or heart issues. LOL Layer of biscuits flattened out on the bottom, fresh breakfast sausage cooked and spread over that layer, then covered with eggs and shredded cheese, and popped in the oven to bake. I tossed a couple strawberries in my mouth to cover the fruit ...so it wasn't "that bad" off the diet. LOL
Love the memory book. I am trying to do little projects like that. I buy the stuff...and there it sits. I want to make the stepping stones also. I think that might be a job for this week with the kids.
Debbie
LOL Betty you're ornery! Betty I'm not going to put myself through it. Donnie and Roy don't get along and get into an argument every time they come in contact with each other, then Dave gets involved, then all three of them are yelling at each other, then I get pulled into it. Donnie's alright by himself but best if he stays away from Roy and they both know it. Donnie has a hurt back and can't sleep on the floor anyway. Dave has to work tonight from 9pm to 6am and then when he's asleep tomorrow I'd end up stuck with the problems and I don't think so, I'll be out gardening. They're so much older than me and from the San Francisco Bay area, which is 2 hours from where I was raised, when I was born Dave was 11 1/2. I didn't meet Dave until November 2003, I met Donnie and Roy in 2004.
The rumor mill is Donnie blames me for "stealing" Dave away from him when we moved here to AR, even though I moved to an area I had never been and have no family or friends, but almost all of their family and a lot of friends are here. When I was on the phone with Eller last night she tried to get him to talk to me and he refused, said he didn't know a Christine and didn't want to talk to me. I have to say, the whole family loves me and if he doesn't he's the only one, which makes a statement there anyway.
Debbie, don't you be going out in the rain, it's cool and you'll be in bed for the weekend if you do with pneumonia...I actually had the furnace on last night to take the dampness out of the house...
Directions should come with the class on Sunday Debbie, or I'll try and take notes and give them them to you..they'd make lovely gifts for you to use up your odds/ends and give as Christmas gifts..yes, am speaking of Christmas gifts because it is coming, as of now, we're more than half way through the year..aren't you glad I'm reminding you of it...slap me silly...
Debbie, thought came to mind...you could come one weekend and I could teach you.....excellent idea!
Ohhh breakfast sounds wonderful..sure do miss a DH cooking breakfast for me, have to opt for a restaurant instead...
Am sure Shannon will adjust to schedule and living accommodations once September rolls in...great idea about her keeping her job, especially as they are few and far between, will give her spending $$ she'll badly need being in college..always something young ones want...
Crissy, hardest lesson in life is learning that you can't be loved by all regardless of just how much you try to be what they want..just doesn't happen...so, you make the best with those who do...I'm sure Dave's family cares for you..you can spend the day at the reunion without having much contact if any with him..his loss right...
Oh his whole family loves me, and I don't care what people think of me anyway, I just think it's hilarious cause he's just the type who would tell everyone how much he can't stand me, but like I said that's rumor anyway, and if he doesn't like me it's his loss. Whatever. I hang with Aunt Linda anyway. She's a kick in the pants!

lol Crissy, she sounds as though she'd be a riot..enjoy her company...I'm sure you'll have loads of fun...think a lot of times these family reunions are more stressful than what they are fun...my sister Sharon is trying to have one this summer but it's hard during summer months to get everyone together...sad to say, with everyone now passing on, I'm that eldest generation..no liking that..lol..however, I do have more life in me than most of the young..I'd get them going...too funny...
She's hilarious and we just get along, she doesn't like the whole drama scene either. I'm going to get some floating noodles and we're going to float ourselves away...

LOL, maybe a blow up boat that you can both sit in, filled with coolers..just float around and enjoy!
LOL!! Knowing our luck we would end up in the middle of the lake with no ores! Now that would be funny!
Funny but fun...lol...
Must tell you what my DH did ...
I had one of those little inflatable raft boat, I'd often tie a rope on the boat and one on the dock and just drift, loved the feeling of the waves hitting it...I fell into a deep sleep...
Roger came home one day and untied it...he was in the Foxy Lady watching from afar, I was fretting because I also had no oars...on the side of the island I saw him sitting and laughing..brat...
Same as I bought a windsurfer..boys were great at it but me, no so great..I could go where I wanted but couldn't catch the wind to come back..after Roger saying about 200 times, I'll not spend my days going out to get you and bring you back, he didn't..had my jacket on so I was in no danger..ended up on the northside of the bay, behind the islands just laying, floating on the surfer, waiting for someone to come and get me, it was a long wait, nobody did...finally a man from one of the cottages come out in a boat and asked if I was having problems...well yes, I'd been floating for over an hour, he asked if someone would not be coming out in search of me, told him, 'silly me, hubby is not home today and the boys are away' so he offered to tow the surfer home...who was sitting on the deck sunning himself, yep DH..when the man pulled up at the dock Roger said, 'so, she conned you into picking her up, you shouldn't have, it's a life long commitment..she's always needing a ride'...both laughed and that about ended my windsurfing..lol
LOL Betty, now that's funny. Last year on the 4th at the same family reunion Uncle Grady brought a jet ski. This was his sons and he had wrecked it, so Grady took it upon himself to patch the hole. Well Grady lets a husband and wife with a 6 month old baby take it out for a bit, they were gone about 10 minutes and came back, Grady took us all across the cove to a public beach, then Dave gets on it. Dave likes to dip and spin, says he didn't do that because it was damaged, but never the less he gets out in the middle of the lake and it takes on water and floods itself out. Lake Ouachita is a Big Lake. Well Dave was gone, and gone, and gone. Me and Linda started getting worried about him, Grady who is 75 years old with a bad heart swam across the cove, not a short swim, to camp to see if he could see Dave on the other side. Well he couldn't and he was gone and gone and gone. Finally, about 2 hours later & close to dinner time, here comes Dave being towed in behind a pontoon boat. He said he was in the middle of the lake, sitting on this jet ski and tons of boats passed by him. He would wave at them, they would just wave back!!
OMG you must have all been frantic..boys take them out from time to time, big sucker, sits 4..as long as you have jackets on and mind the other boats on the water then they are safe..much like snowmobiling...we have to have a special driving licence for boats/skidoos and seadoo's...young children can go for the course as well, Noah 11 and Kyle 13 both have theirs...just me, I have till end of September when the law comes totally into effect so best get a move on or I will not be able to drive the Foxy Lady...
Still raining out there..don't know where it all comes from...
Afternoon everyone. Geesh, I miss a day or two, and it takes me forever to catch up with you all!
Hope your all doing OK.
Betty, Our town does put on a small fireworks display, but it is so crowded, so our neighborhood puts on our own. just about everyone for about 5 miles, goes out and buys fireworks, and then we all stand in the back yard, and watch the dispaly. It goes on most of the night, and it is much better than the one the city puts on!
Hope you all have a wonderful, and safe 4th of July!
LK
Afternoon everyone......I'm way behind.....
Sage is here....we are finishing the front bed today, she has swimming lessons and I have to get laundry done or we will be going to Oregon for the weekend with to clothes! Bill's best friend has invited us down to celebrate their anniversary and the 4th at their Beach home in Cannon Beach......love that little town.
Supposed to go over 80 today so should get out get the bed done before it gets too warm..........everyone have a great day and a great weekend.
We were getting worried, not frantic yet though. What's really nice was the people in the pontoon boat who pulled him in waited for us to get ready so they could tow him over to the boat dock, as they were pulling the pontoon out of the water too but were in no hurry and had nowhere to troll to. I just wonder if he did more repairs on it over the year and is bringing it back again. Dave said he won't ride it this time lol!!
I'm eating this wonderful chicken salad salad, it's a garden salad with fruit and a scoop of chicken salad in it, with some sort of cinnamon strawberry dressing. It's delicious.
Just found out Dave's off tonight!! I didn't know that!! Woo Hoo I think I'll go play after work and leave him with his family, but I don't want to miss dinner either lol.
LindaKay, small town events are the best...wouldn't be the 4th of July without fireworks..our May 24th weekend is know for fireworks..so many restrictions here now, we'd not get away with lighting any, fire safety I guess, in order to light them you have to have a licence..what else is new.lol..when I arranged our fireworks had to have the firemen go to Toronto for a course each year which would allow them to set them off...
My favorites are when I watch them at Disney..omg spectacular...they also had them at Canada's Wonderland last night I think as long as it didn't rain...don't you just feel like a kid watching them...
Trisha do you leave tomorrow? will the weather be hot enough to go without much clothing..could save on the washing...lol..80, that's just about perfect weather isn't it....
Crissy your salad sounds delicious..
Went to Scraps of Joy and picked up scrabooking materials for the memory book..ouch...not cheap and still have about 10 more things to purchase..I'm going to go on Michaels web-site and print out a coupon..know thee will be lots I can get there...still not sure why I joined this course..still raining..
Well I went to WalMart and got Dave a blow up floating 'bed' and two noodles (now I can put "30 lashes with a wet noodle" into reality.)
Oh it was delicious and ran right through me LOL Guess I need another brownie to make it all 'stick' together.
Betty don't get wet, you'll melt!!
Where is everyone??????
Morning all...
Hi Barb, how did things go yesterday with Jean..now tell me about your day AND what worked itself into shopping bags for you?
Another day with rain..5 in a row...
Did the garden walk around this a.m. oh oh something is DEAD in the back where the patio is...yellow sun flowers are so thick that I can't see what it could be, wondering if it's something that was fighting with that racoon the other night that crawled away to die or if it's the turtle Cathy brought me??? hmmm not smelling too good..wonder how long decay lasts???
Running late, be at the office in an hour or so and then I'll gab about my class last night..
bye for now!
morning all,
hope you all have a nice 4th
judy, will be thinking of you today, nice to yap with you
yesterday, and happy news for you simply smiling...
iknow your going to peek in now and then,
but move over sister
were on our way!!!!!!!!! will be giving you big hugs in 29 days!!!!!
How exciting Liz, you got hubby to agree to destination..omg...if I continue with my plans I'll be passing through Chicago about the same time..might be an annual get together...lol...at least for tea/coffee and maybe Cracker Barrel...hey Liz..the other night I was watching t.v. and an advertisement came on for Cracker Barrel (cheese) I was so laughing..remember you NOT wanting to go to the Cracker Barrel for breakfast because you weren't fond of cheese...too cute..
Judy, you brother get's married today..I'm so hoping it's a sunshine day for you...
Crissy, float bed..is it a double so both of you can enjoy floating? wet noodles..you are terrible girl...
Went to class, had forgotten that Carol had an operation on Tuesday, not sure why she wanted to have a class..only 4 of us and we'd all have been willing to stay home...she made it through though..
I thought my memory album would be just Sunday afternoon but NOT..it's from 9 - 4:00 so by they time I leave at 8 and get home, there goes Sunday...so we folded papers to look like a book last night and played with her teaching me book binding..omg she had a graph with #'s and arrows..sooo confusing, got to be a better way soooo brought in needle / thread and I'm going to fold some paper and play this morning trying to find an easier way...

A quick good morning,
Betty the portait is wonderful. So much talent in a beautiful lady!
I wanted to tell you also, DS got his extended license in 7 days from turning in the forms. So, that is on my agenda for THursday. I couldn't do it this week as planned.
Looks like lots of the kids old classmates are coming into town this weekend, and I am very excited to see some of them. They asked if they could stop by! So a possible housefull tomorrow.
It is STILL raining here. We have most of the yard under control, so hoping it finishes up the rain today...and sunny tomorrow.
Hoping you all are doing well and have a great day. Travel safely.....wishing good weather for the wedding.....and lots of family fun!
Debbie
That she will Liz..omg, do you think you should have made arrangements without telling him...you are indeed a brave soul....
Mom just called to tell me, now imagine this, she`s finally run out of margarine that we bought when we were in Buffalo...sooo when are we going...last week I called to say I had received my passport and when would she like to go...she said she couldn`t think about it right now because of all the tests she`s been getting, wanted results, so today she says, how come you aren`t planning on taking me...shaking my head here...
Too late for this weekend, next weekend my niece`s baby shower so that is no go so we will leave on the 17th...mothers!!!
Debbie, they are calling for sunshine here so let`s hope you get it as well...thanks for compliments, not talent just good instructions..lol
OMG Debbie, that was quick..what do they charge for you to get it vs. passport..
I`m hoping you checked the post above...see when mom wants to cross over..now did you tell me that was not a good weekend..know it is your birthday that Saturday..we could celebrate...yep we could...sure hope it`s not your busy weekend....barring that I`ll talk to you about something else...
Always nice when youngsters want to visit..shows you just how you`ve made an impact on their lives...
Betty, that is my horribly busy week/ weekend! My neice is getting married! UGH!!!!!
I think the passport DH got was about $120. DS's license was 75...and to get the extended was $30 extra. So, depending how much time is on my license...they will pro rate the fee for that.
