Your Bishops Weed looks like Snow on the Mountain... it's very invasive here if its the same plant... pretty but fairly invasive
Yes, it can be but I have enough land it hasn't bothered me any..... I really like it.
Not snow on the mountain...I looked in PF and that doesn't look like it.
Whatever it is... I have a banking full of it...
It is called 'Bishop's Weed'

Bishops weed is just that, a WEED.
If you have a large area where you never want to plant anything else put it there.
I had some in the skirt of some hedges that I kept trimmed to 40 inches. BW grew that tall, shaded out the hedge. I had to rip everything out and continue to use Roundup to rid of it.

I just looked at Gardencrossings.com and it says it is Snow on the Mountain
I think there are different kinds of Bishops Weed... Snow on the Mountain.. This one appears to be Aegopodium Variegatum
So i've heard, but it has 16 acres to crawl over before it gets to within 2 acres of the house. I'm safe for a while. ^_^
I really love the foliage, it looks good for almost 3 season's here!!
It is beautiful if you can let it go.... I moved a few daylilies... and it came with them... now I'm trying to eradicate it from a daylily bed.....
Now thats one thing I hate....moving DL's and getting 'extras' w/it! I have a ton that need to be divided, moved too!
Sounds like its in a good place Pixie
Nice looking... Gallardia? Round up... lol!! Poison Ivy rains supreme here.. lol
Yes,Gaillardia / Blanket Flower. I have 'Burgundy' , 'Toto', 'Goblin, and I think 'Arizona Sun'. My goal was to turn the back field into a field of self-seeding flowers. Daisy's, Lupines, Blanket Flowers, Poppies, ect......
I'm also counting on the birds to help spread it for me. lol
sweet
I have that same iris (last post) growing along the creek here, and the yellow one, also!
Aegopodium is pretty invasive, esp. if you don't stop the runners every spring, forget it!!
I have it in my yard, because it was in my grandmother's garden, and came from there. It goes where ever it wants to go.
I always pull the flowers off, so no Snow on the Mountain, here. Though, I do like Queen Anne's Lace flowers. We always called it Bishop's Weed, or around grandma, Aegopodium.
Nice!
Echies are just opening here. I am waiting for last years plants to "hit-it" along with FataMorgana lilies.
