Wow.... I'm so far behind. But, wanted to check in quickly to see what has been going on.

Willie... Nice pics to open with.

Happy belated birthday Allison! Pretty pics too.

Robin... That's a really neat looking hosta flower bud, great picture of it too.

Patti... corrida is very pretty! Flowerjen, that's a great pic of yours too!

Meredith... cool butterfly pic!

Tex....It sounds like the weather has thrown your asters off a little! But hey, if they continue to bloom through fall, that'll be great.

Bill... Do you fell like the energizer bunny of gardening yet? lol. looks great.

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Two of our peony plants flowered today. We're so excited. I have no idea what the names are, as they were planted long before we believed in tags.

thank you RC... love that fuchsia color Candyce!!

this is a spirea that I brought home last year because it was throwing out some wild branches. Usually those branches die or the green ones take over. But, they didn't die, and the green hasn't taken over. So, I'm thinking that I might try to air layer a couple of the branches, something i've attempted only once or twice before!

the ones without any green would most likely die, but I think that this one has potential and is pretty cool looking.

I'm trying to decide where to plant my ech. 'tomato soup'. the flower has faded from a color that was just like that of actual tomato soup! At first I was going to plant it with my other echies, but this looked interesting. The spiderwart behind it is actually a darker purple (I'll show a better pic of it) and the lilies off to the right of it are white. What do you all think??? good spot or no?

Nice Rainy day collage there Jo Ann! They look they they are doing pretty well to me, even if they're not caught up with Patti's. Most of mine aren't either. lol

Thanks Bill, unfortunately I don't have a good answer for you though. I bought that plant two weeks ago and it was already fully open. I just noticed the fading a day or two ago. It'll be interesting to see what it looks like when the other flowers open. Then I'll be able to give you a better answer too! i can't remember if I posted a picture here after I first got it or not.

Nothing special, just some Magnus and White Swan. Hardy Hibiscus in the background needs some major trimming after a heavy downpour.

Shelley, orange & purple are super next to each other---go with it! Jo Ann---great poppy! For those of you who missed the RU at Boojum's, you really missed some spectacluar plants & gardens---the roses alone had me drooling---not to mention the SI, peonies, clems----a few DLs were out, but many more (100?) were budded, & then there were the hostas, & lady slippers--here are a few photos from there---a yellow clem...
