Spooks and ghosts and weeping ladies...oh my! #4

Washington, IN(Zone 6a)

Ky , That's what I was thinking too. I know there is a place in KY that is called Cry Baby Lane. They say that at certain times that you drive down the road you can hear a baby crying but I have never been there, couldn't ever get anyone that would take me there. I know it is in and around LaGrange somewhere. The people that knew about it wouldn't even go close to the area.

(Zone 7a)

I thought of lots of things it could have been. I may never know.

Ky, it wasn't any particular song. Only when I had the music turned higher than usual. I'm going to do an experiment today and see if I can get him to do it again.

kwanjin, some people are more open to seeing and feeling a spiritual presence. When we feel them or become aware of their presence, they are more attracted to us and seek us out (sort of like a spirit magnet). Which makes sense that they would like to connect to an earth person that will acknowledge their presence; I guess that's how it works with spiritual mediums and the like.

You are in tune with the realm beyond and you are attracting spirits, which is a gift! I'd also say that your aura is shining bright right now.

Woa that's creepy!!

(Zone 7a)

It actually wasn't. It was kind of...soothing? I don't think that's the right word but it's close.

(Your rain dance is working again. Thank you! LOL)

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

LOL 2 of 3?

Highland Heights, KY(Zone 6a)

Seems there are a few "Crybaby Lane"s around the country, from a Google search I just did. Here's a link to the one in LaGrange, KY. It's the second to last story:

EEEEKKKK I was taking a picture of my squash at dusk so I had the flash on and this is what came on the screen. I dropped the camera it scared me so bad, thank God I was standing in my yard. I'm wondering if I took a picture of some sort of animal that I didn't see or if it's something else.. It's really weird.

You Know crissy that looks like an owls eyes.

(Zone 7a)

Eeeek, is right. Something certainly was there.

Highland Heights, KY(Zone 6a)

Two orbs...could be dust or moisture...eyes would probably appear red, I'm guessing. I get this song in my head from seeing that, "I always feel like somebody's watching me!"

(Zone 7a)

LOL Maybe it was the money you could be saving with Geico.

Highland Heights, KY(Zone 6a)

ROFL, good one!! I'd be spooked, too, though if I'd taken that pic!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

I'm still spooked, there's nothing there for an owl to sit on. I don't know what it is, but I know that's not the money I could be saving with Geico, they were $60 higher than State Farm LOL

Highland Heights, KY(Zone 6a)

I got it!! It's the green-eyed squash-eating monster! Gotta be, 'cause I don't see any squash! Yep, it's Sasquash!!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

That's why I don't have any squash on my plant, just blooms!

North, TX

That does look like eyes Crissyr!! ~ Eeee! lol
Reminds me of a scene out of Ghostbusters.

I took this picture around Christmas time last year (notice my Charlie-Brown Christmas tree in the backgound - yep, I made it) and when I downloaded, there were hundreds of what looks like orbs. I told my dh his music was making the orbs dance. (dh doesn't like his pic on the net - oopsy).

But your pic might have been orbs...or just a reflection from something (Like eyes!!)

And there is a Sasquash! because I've heard him here!!!!!

Wow! He must be really good!

Baltimore, MD(Zone 7a)

Specs of dust on the lens????????

North, TX

KyWoods, LOL he's not bad!!

Well that just takes all the fun out of it Gitagal! hah.
But seriously, we thought something like that but nope... nothing on the lense. I took other pictures just before that of my beautiful Charlie Brown tree, nothing there and took other pictures of a fire we had made later that night and nothing there?
Just that one picture while he was playing guitar.

Sometime, there just isn't a logical explanation.

Highland Heights, KY(Zone 6a)

Tell him to play that song again and have EVP equipment ready!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

LOL Allwild!!

That is strange.

(Zone 7a)

Have you tried taking another pic, Crissy? Maybe you don't want to know but it might be interesting to see if "it" comes back.

North, TX

All right crissyr, looks like we both should do retakes!!!

But since everything is constantly changing, who knows what the outcome will be next time. Yikes, I scare myself! LOL

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

No, I haven't. I'll take another pic this evening, see if it happens again.

Anne Arundel,, MD(Zone 7b)

Hi, I haven't kept up here and kno I've missed lots of stories and chuckles (the money you could be saving...LOL)
I found a book at the library with a bunch of stories, some like these and many amazing coincidences. Its called I Thought my Father Was God, Paul Auster editor. 2001. It was a project by NPR to collect real stories of real people. Most are about one page, non more than say three, a few four. Anyhoo, its mostly pretty entertaining, light easy reading. Some amazing coincidences!!!

(Zone 7a)

Thanks for the title. I go find it. It does sound interesting.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Huh, I'm going to look on Amazon for it...

Kawonkamish,

Lately, my house hasn't been as active as in the past. The activity seems to come in spurts.

Note: On December 14, 2008, I went to the hospital with chest pains. The doctors did an angiogram(spelling?), but they couldn't find the cause. Though, they did discover why I've such a low blood pressure and weak pulse all these years. It seems that half of my heart beats slower than the other half... go figure... it took the medical profession 40 years to figure that out...lol. I have noticed that when I'm surprised, my heart usually skips a few beats or starts to beat erratically and it takes a while to calm down. Oh man, does it hurt when that happens. Anyhoo, I needed you to know this, so you'ld understand what I was feeling, when you read my latest encounter.

July 28 2:30PM: I was asleep, lying on my right side. I woke up with a start, feeling an odd creepy, heavy, coldness in my bedroom. This being odd, as it's July and at this time, I have no air conditioning in my room. I didn't want to turn my head and look around, because it felt as if someone was there next to my bed. I knew I'ld freak out if I rolled over and looked. As I was fitfully going back to sleep, I heard someone say in my ear, "Shh...". I nearly jump out of my skin; it scared the bejeezus out of me. My heart start to skip beats, which in turn made my chest start to hurt. It took a while for the beats to return to normal and the pain to go away. I noticed after a bit of time, that the room had returned to being rather stuffy. It took quite some time after the incident for me to drift off back to sleep.

I don't think it meant to frighten me like that. I think maybe, all it was doing was checking in on me. It's just, I have this wonky heart and to be surprised like that... I've never heard the voices that close to me before, usually it sounds distant, as if from a different room in the house...

Well, that's all I have to report right now, as I've said above, these things come in spurts. I'll let you know when anything more happens.

If that had been me I would have most likely wet the bed LOL I have had bad dreams and woke up scared to death and afraid to even move for fear of what I was dreaming was actually not a dream.

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Kawonkamish flowerfantasy,

I know that feeling, too. I've had those kinds of dreams before. I posted one in the previous thread. Let me see if I can link over to it... brb.... Here it is: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/p.php?pid=6068075

Oh wow how weird ! Most of mine I don't remember except when I first wake up and then it is so vivid I have trouble going back to sleep but then when I wake up in the morn it is gone except that I can remember having a bad dream. There are some however that I do remember and those are the ones I would like to forget LOL

(Zone 7a)

That's interesting, Moe. It does sound like someone was checking up on you. Making sure you're okay is fine but Sheesh! Don't kill you while doing it! LOL Oh, and ANGIOGRAM was spelled correctly. ^_^

I was taking pics in the garden yesterday. I was taking many pictures of birds in the trees and at the feeders. There was a robin in the buckthorn eating berries. He was about 7 feet off the ground. I took 3 pics and 2 didn't come out well.

And then, there was this...

OMG! Please tell me that, what I'm seeing, is just ripe berries and not eyes staring back at you... What is that?!?!

I have no idea what this is. I was as startled as you when I opened it on my computer. I thought it might be Isis, my kitty, but Isis was in the house so as not to disturb the birds. AND, it was about 7' off the ground. No way could she climb that high.

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Okayyyyy?!?!... Umm... I'm baffled. Do any of your neighbors have black or dark colored cats?

P.S. It could also be a case of matrixing.

If you set and look long enough and at different angles it looks like a cat setting there. But I wouldn't know how the actual color of the eyes would stand out like that.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Moe, you didn't see the eyes or whatever staring back at me in my back yard, the post is about the middle of the thread, you'll know it when you see it, starts out with "EEEEEK"

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

crissyr, I saw your post as well. As for your pic, that could've been an animal. I've opossums, raccoons and skunks in my neighborhood and their eyes reflect green. As was the case of my dearly departed Labrador Ben, his eyes reflected green, also. My best bet would be opossum. Seeing as how close together the eyes are.

Yeah, Crissy, did you ever try another pic?

All I can say about mine is that I see no way a cat could have gotten in there like that. Even the birds bend the branches over. None of these branches are bent.

What's matrixing?
