Spooks and ghosts and weeping ladies...oh my! #4
I'm first!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Neener neener neener!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LMBO!!
I haven't had any dreams of anything, or strange feelings lately. Well, I did have one yesterday as I was driving home from work but it ended up not being paranormal but was wishing it would have been! I was driving home down the freeway and felt something brush my arm. I looked down and nothing on my arm so I ignored it, pulled into my garage still kinda freaked out from it because there is nothing that should have brushed my arm in my car, and it was a huge hornet in my car with me!! EEEEkkkk
That brushing on your arm is what I feel quite often. Never find any hornets, though! LOL
Wow, I think I'd rather find a ghost in my car with me, than a hornet! Talk about scary!
Do ghost kitties make ghost poop?
That's the stuff under the bed.
crissy....eeeeekkkkk!
I thought they are called dust bunnies, but they're dust poopies!
Yes!! I would much rather have a ghost in my car. When I pulled into the garage the satellite radio quits working and I heard this buzz, looked over at the passenger window and there it was, trying to get out. They fly so fast I couldn't see it. So if it got in my car 30 miles away could it find it's way back to it's nest?
That's how dust bunnies get there! I was always wondering how that happened.
Hi All,
I have been lurking LOL You all have some interesting stories. I don't have any of the abilities any more either. I use to be able to know when something bad was about to happen, Stand outside and feel the earth move and then dejavu (spelling?). I love to hear the stories so I am going to hang around if that is ok with you all.
Please do hang around, we would love to have you!
Thanks.
Absolutely, okay!!! If you have any stories to share, recent or distant, we'd love to hear them.
Oh I have had nothing as strange as what you all have told here. I just remember one time setting in a resturant with a girlfriend having coffee and got this stange feeling something was about to happen and I told her we gotta go and I went to a lawyers office and come to find out they were going to send my X hubby to jail for a few years for nothing he had anything to do with.
And just be standing and doing something and get the feeling that I had done it before. Just little things like that.
It's the little things that are interesting. You paid attention to your "little thing" and found out a big thing.
Wow, that was a really big thing! I hope it was turned around!
The 'deja-vu' feeling was my aura to warn of an impending seizure before my brain surgery. It was that part of the brain where the intuition is centered, that I had removed. So weird not having that anymore.
I remember you said that. It would be very strange, indeed, to have a part missing.
You know I wonder sometimes when a person has some sort of brain injury or trauma and they develope this esp thingy and all sorts of things and if actually having the injury or what ever is really the cause of this phenomenon,or is it there and the injury just heightens it.
I think the injury heightens the sense.
I've never had dejavu in current life, but I do remember carrying big troughs of water over my head in the early 1800's though.
Sometimes I can tell if something's going to happen, but not all the time.
Terry you're probably right, but I'm not sure of the broken tooth thing either but your teeth could be equally as brittle, and you had a sympathy break.
I've heard many stories of people who've had brain injuries and then developed the sense.
I think I lost all of mine because I just didn't try to keep it up and then my mind got so cluttered with other things that it doesn't respond to the instinct any longer
Possibly. The brain is an amazing organ, though. Perhaps, with practice, you could regain some of it.
Hey I got something to tell. It really isn't ghostly but yet it is. I worked at state park as a camp ground attendent. I worked until about 11:00 pm every night. Well this was on a week end and was setting there and all you could hear was just the silent murmmers of the peolpe there and then all of the sudden there was no sound at all, not night creatures or birds or nothing. Completely silent ! The park ranger come flying in and jumped out of his vehicle and all of the people that were still awake come running up to the building wanting to know what was going on. It was like that for about 10 minutes or so and everybody was scared to death. To this day no one knows what happen but you talking about spooky that was the erriest feeling I have ever had. The park ranger seem to think that there was some kind of BIG predator prowling around close. BUT what could it have been I don't know .
That IS scary! Bigfoot! lol
Wow! LOL!!
I don't know what in the world it was but I know I had goose bumps all over me.
Does any one get that way when you have a feeling that somebody is watching you. I think that is the one thing I still have. I get bumps really fast when somebody is watching me. What really gives me bumps is when I can't see who it is either.
Oh I do that, can't stand it.
OMG....I haven't been on DG in so long, other than one thread.....lack of time. I had completely forgotten about this thread and how much fun it was. I was around when ya'll first started.
Well, tonight, I'm waiting to see a ghost. Heehee. I have brought my teenage daughter to Austin for 4 days of mother/daughter bonding and it is our last night in 'the most hanted hotel in Texas' and we are 3 doors down from 'the most haunted room, in the most haunted hotel in Texas'. Gonna be sad to go home tomorrow as we have had had such a wonderful time together here.
So, I'll report if I see a ghost! Until then, hi ya'll!
What fun! Can't wait to hear the results! Meanwhile, have a wonderful visit with your daughter.
Ghostly or not? On Mother's Day, my dh and I went to his sister's home and, on the way we went by my dh's mother's gravesight; which is one of those small old gravesites along a rural street, next door to a subdivision.
It had been awhile since he had been there so there were additional graves and he couldn't remember exactly where his mother's grave was. He started walking one way, and me the other. As I was walking, I could hear banging and the sound of a woman yelling. It was muffled and far away sounding and I didn't even really relate it to being below the ground in the beginning. This is in broad daylight, so not really scary but more of a surreal feeling of being there but far away at the same time, if you know what I mean. Strange feeling in itself. So I start walking towards the sounds and soon my dh approaches me. I ask him if he can here that banging and a woman yelling. He just looks at me. I point to where the sounds are coming from at the same time that he says "oh there it is" in the exact same spot!! It is his mother's grave!! At that moment the sounds stopped.
OMG!! He didn't seem to want to discuss what I had heard so I just dropped it. Later I told him that his mother is not at rest.
I believe her children need to forgive her for 'some things' so that she can be at rest?? That probably won't happen. Any thoughts?
fancyflower, you were talking about that feeling of someone watching you and it reminded me of another time, many years ago now when me and my sis were sharing an apartment. (I know! Sorry!)
Anyway, over several weeks, I had a reoccuring dream of a man walking around in my bedroom. One evening I was getting ready to go out. When I got out of the shower, I had that creepy feeling like someone is looking at me and then I remember my dream.
So I go over to the window just to make sure no one is out there. (Of course not thinking anyone would actually be there) There are blinds are closed and covering the window so I just lift the right side of the blind to peek out and jumped right out of my skin because there was a man crouched down, with his hands on his knees, peeking in my window!!!!! At the same time I had looked out the window, my sister and her boyfriend were pulling in and the headlights were shining right on the guy!! So he was looking at the car at the moment I looked out the window and it was a delay before he looked back into the window and saw me looking at him!!!!!!! Talk about the scary creepy feeling!!! He jumped too. I called the police but he was long gone by the time the officer arrived. I never had that dream again but I always dressed in the bathroom after that!! FYI, I went out to look "to see what he could see" and sure enough, that space between the wall, the window sill, and the blind was enough to see in my room. EEEEEEK!
Just a month before there was a fire at those apartments that caused the exterior lights not to work at night. That's probably when the peep-creep started looking in my window.
Funny story about the apartment fire. Me and my sis had the downstairs unit and a flight attendant lived above us. When the fire started two units down, the flight attendant came rushing up the stairs yelling for us to hurry and get our valuables out!!! A minute later, she was running back down the stairs with her electric curlers in one hand and her makeup case in her other hand. yep, those were her valuables!!
ROFL, hey, if she didn't look good, she could lose her job--you know how the airlines are about their flight attendants! Glad everyone made it out, okay, anyway.
Allwild, that is a spooky story about the mother-in-law's grave, and a really creepy story about that creepy guy. I hope he eventually landed in jail.
Sorry, I've been away awhile. I took a small vacation.
Those stories creeped me out, too. And it's daytime!
S...while I was on vacation, a strange thing happened.
My brother and I went to OR and, on the drive there, took turns napping while the other drove. We started at night to avoid the heat. On my second turn napping, I had the front seat tipped all the way back so I was almost flat. After a minute or two, I felt "something" on my lap. It felt like a child sitting there. I held still and could feel the "something" move around occasionally. After about 10 minutes, I couldn't stay awake anymore. when I woke up, the feeling was gone. I did not feel it again the rest of the way.
On the return trip, (daytime) I felt it again. It seemed to be in the same area as the 1st time. I stayed awake this time and it lasted about 1/2 hour. Sit still, move around, sit still, shift over. Then, it felt like the "something" pushed off my lap and left.
What do you think? Small child? Hitchhiker?
My first thought was of a cat???
I never thought that. Possibly.
Whose car were you in? Maybe it is a child or spirit associated or attached to your brother? Did you say anything to him? Of course he may not be in tune to know if there is some "thing" following him around.
But maybe it was a child that wanted to join both of you on your adventure.
On my last vacation, we flew to Salt Lake City, Utah and then rented a car up to Wyoming. Very pretty. Utah has some nice places. This pic was taken on our way back to the airport. I don't recall exactly where it was but we went to a place called Lake Tony. Had to go, my guy's name is Tony LOL.
I wouldn't think of a cat only because any cat I've ever had did not like to get in the car!!!! I
True, a cat would have been under the seat, lol. Beautiful place in that pic! I love the scenery out there.
We do live in a great place. Go an hour in any direction and the scenery changes.
I didn't say anything to my brother. I didn't want to disturb anything. I just let it happen. The funny thing was that I think it happened in the same area of road. I think it was a person, not an animal. I remember feeling hands on the sides of my thighs a couple of times when they adjusted themselves or looked around or whatever they were doing. A small someone.
I didn't get any feelings or thoughts from them. The pressure on my legs was the only thing. I didn't feel threatened on scared.
Since I've been home, I've been hearing a voice when I play music. Like a man shouting. Maybe he doesn't like my taste. ^_^ It's all very strange and different than what I've a
experienced before.
Wow, maybe a child died on that stretch of road. Maybe there's a way to find out? Interesting about the music--is it any music, or just one particular song?
