Fate, TX(Zone 8a)

here's my clue

remember that group way back when that sang YMCA. remember all the characters that they were dressed up as. yeah. remember some of those.

Morning everyone!

Lovely iris Arejay! I'm still clueless with the rest Mamajack. But "eye" will keep trying. :)

MILDRED MITCHELL is blooming for me this morn.

Seray!!! That has to be the most amazing lily. Hmm Mildred Mitchell that is a nice name it sounds somewhat familiar.

Thanks Arejay

She's new for me. I liked her color. Nice compliment to my house paint. I'm working on redesign for the front landscape. Gathering plant stage. We're right outside Savannah. Lots of wonderful gardens in town but pretty standard in our area. Need to change that! :)

Off to the sun!

Farmingdale, ME(Zone 5a)

Well here I am a newbie from Farmingdale Maine. Only 10 miles from arjay59. I have no seeds to give but will accept new ones and I love anything as long as it's not yellow or orange. I have a new spiral garden which I am trying to keep in the pink/purple/blue families. Sending along a picture.

I'd be glad to come and visit you in Litchfield (or visa versa)arjay59, instead of mailing seeds.

My only experience with gathering seeds were my forget me nots. I am trying to get enough pink ones to seed for next year but won't have many. Last your I gathered blue and underplanted my daffodills and tulips and it was glorious. So will try this year with the pink.

I don't have a great picture of my spiral garden as we had so much rain lately it knocked down the lupins and iris but for now here is what it looks like.

Hannibal, NY(Zone 6a)

Welcome lacefairy. Have you noticed the plant giveaway, word jumble yet? I am giving two plants as a prize on Saturday, and they will be in your color range (hint, hint), so you might want to try to guess the names, too. And there's one going on right now, that people are having trouble guessing.

Marietta, MS(Zone 7b)

Are you listed?

Welcome Lacefairy!

I love your spiral. Lot of pretty stone work. Arejay lays a mean rock as well so you'll have much in common. Glad to have you. Mamajack has us all stumped with a word scramble.

Not only am I still clueless but I have the YMCA song in my head I can't get rid of. This keeps up much longer and I'll be on the war path I tell ya. :) LOL

Fate, TX(Zone 8a)

oh come on. good grief. there was a policeman, a construction guy, a doctor, a lawyer and a ?

Washington, IN(Zone 6a)

You know mama I know the one youo are talking about but I sure can pukk the name out of the letters. I was a big fan of the village people so I know which one but not the name:((((((((((((((((((((((((

even when you were a kid, before the village people, you oughta get this one. now this is only one part of the name. only one of the words from above is in the name of my plant. i thought the construction guy was hot in case yall were wondering.

Locakelly, it will do well in the desert. Over on the iris forum we have plenty of members from around the Phoenix area. So it's good you won that one.

Congrats!

My 'couple' is next, yay. This is so much fun, I'm glad Mittsy posted about the contest.

Phoenix, AZ(Zone 9a)

Thanks pollyk!!

I will definitely be checking out the Iris Forum. I know some of the folks on the SW Forum grow them as well, so lot's of free advice there.

Now I get to watch from the sidelines for the next one. Whew! No stress there. I'll still try to guess though. Can't hurt to build the 'ol plant ID skills - lol...

Litchfield, ME(Zone 5a)

Practice makes perfect my Dad always said...You Kelly twins didnt really think I was going to follow all of the rules??? I spelled something wrong remember? It only makes sence that I would put the common name for the scramble after I said it would be a Latin name....

Congratulations the other Kelly twin..Yoo dee hoo you win that is it...Dmail Cheif Mama with your mailing info so she can send it off to you...
Remember everyone couples scramble on Sat the 27th 6pm and the holiday weekend is a threefer instead of a twofer!! Bring your friends , family and neighbors!!

Thank You Kelly...Come on home!!

Phoenix, AZ(Zone 9a)

Sometimes I'd like to do just that, especially on days like this when is 100+ in the shade and HUMID. That combo is not nice. Hoping for some rain now that our monsoon season is officially here... I really can't remember the last time it rained - that's how long it's been - lol...
