Phoenix, AZ(Zone 9a)

Hi, Kelz!!

MORNING cue_chick and EVERYONE! It's sunny here. They're calling for 103 here today. I'm going to be hugging the air most all day. We've had baseball and soft ball size hail all this week all around me but thank GOD it missed me. Lots of wind damage and rain all around and some news about some tornadoes went out but so far haven't heard of people being hurt. Lots of power went out but back on now. Thanks everyone for the plants, my flowers are blooming all over. and got a UV light to fix my green pond water. Thanks to everyones suggestions. Have a great day. Mekos

HI Everyone

We're steaming in GA this afternoon. Heat index 106. Temp 96 in the shade. Had about 3" rain but no hail last night. Thanks goodness! My lilies and cannas love it but my Brugs do not. The Mosquitoes are in HEAVEN!!!

Too much rain. I was out weeding for about an hour when it started to rain AGAIN. Things are beginning to rot. I have to empty the pot saucers a couple of times a day. My last tb Iris Diamond Bracelet has 4 big buds, they are beginning to turn brown, I don't believe they will open. I'm sick of it!!!!! I need some sunshine. The Japanese iris are loving it. The pond is overflowing into their planting area. I hope the fish don't go into the grass. They will become varmit snacks for sure if they do.

Wow Arejay! You have a beautiful place. Hopefully it has quit raining. Too bad we don't live near we'd come help.

The brown is starting to show.Thank You for the compliment too Sherri we have worked hard here I will post before and after pictures sometime.

I noticed your cold frames. I haven't seen those in 30 years or more. I started a lot of plants in mine way back when.

Litchfield, ME(Zone 5a)

Yeah!! The old days seem to hang on to me!! I love my cold frames...

Ughh.. official high today here in Palm Coast was 101 F and incredibly humid. My tomato plant is really not liking this weather and is on its last leg. Im hoping to get the last of the tomatoes off of it before it decides to croak.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

This is a hard one huh? I had a tough time scrambling it. I'm glad I don't have to unscramble it. Did I say it is again two words?

Caro, MI(Zone 5a)

Yes, it's a hard one for sure. I don't even know where to begin to unscramble these words. It would even be hard if you scrambled each word seperately! LOL The only thing I could get out of it is Coleus. :) I'm sure that someone will be able to figure it out though. It is so nice of you & Mittsy to do this. Thank you.

Well, if no one gets it by Tuesday we'll give you a clue. So glad Polly decided to join the fun, and donate a plant. She has a wonderful garden.

Litchfield, ME(Zone 5a)

Hi,
It is a hard one .... I'm with you Mittsy it was great to have Polly join in...I'm already working on the scramble...

Palm Coast, FL(Zone 9a)

is that supposed to be one long word or is it two words? I dont even have a clue where to begin. if its two, then Im pretty much S.O.L. because Im not that plant savvy. I barely know common names let alone the proper names of plants... sheesh...LOL

Litchfield, ME(Zone 5a)

Two words ,
In honor of fathers day...
My Dad always said...
If at first you dont suceed...try, try again.

Litchfield, ME(Zone 5a)

I would love to see some of the trys!!
Are you here Mittsy?

LOL, like I said, I am clueless about proper plant names.. so trying isnt the issue. I havent even a starting point...ROTFL... I could sit and rearrange these letters all day and would still not see a word in them even if i did manage to unscramble them. I wouldnt know the word even if they magically unscrambled themselves... Id just think it was another nonsensical word...LOL

Litchfield, ME(Zone 5a)

Ok but you would like the prize!!

Palm Coast, FL(Zone 9a)

ROTFL... Im sure I would

and for the record, ive tried to unscramble it about a dozen times, but....lol

Litchfield, ME(Zone 5a)

Is anyone else working on it?

Palm Coast, FL(Zone 9a)

ok.. here's my newbie uneducated suggestion...LOL

maybe you could hide clues throughout DG ? Like in other forums? and not big clues.. but maybe small hints like plant size... or color... or zone... or something like that?

anyways, was just a suggestion...LOL... you can tell me to shut up and bug off now...ROTFL

Litchfield, ME(Zone 5a)

Oh Kelly I love that idea....

Litchfield, ME(Zone 5a)

I will try that later today as soon as I hear from Mittsy ...are you ok with that Mittsy or do you want me to wait until tuesday?

Litchfield, ME(Zone 5a)

If I can get 9 people to post that they are trying to figure out the plant I will post a clue somewhere in the garden!!

Palm Coast, FL(Zone 9a)

well, Im one! rotfl

Marietta, MS(Zone 7b)

Well, I am trying too. Spelled Echinacea out of it, but then the rest of the letters don't spell a word. Driving me nuts!

Good Morning All

I'm working on it. I may have to change my name to 'clueless' though. Here's something pretty to cheer us on.
