Ok here we are!!

To get your free seeds

Be Sure to put your damil name and a note of wants in your envie, along with return name and address
Address exchange is here http://davesgarden.com/address_exchange/
You have to add your information to be able to access everyone else's.

We came from here!! http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/994709/

Please feel free to Dmail me with questions
Many of us "oldies" and some Newbies would like to share our seeds with those of you new to Dave's. By new, we mean you joined in the last 8 months(or so) and are a paying member.
Send me a SASBE (Self addressed, stamped bubble envelope) and we'll send you 10 packets of seeds. (Usually more, depends on our stash) That's all there is to it. Let us know you are sending your envy. Just Dmail me with sent envie today in the subject. You will get a good variety of good seeds.

If you can, stick a note in your envy and tell me they types of things you like. Veggies and Flowers, some seeds you are looking for, stuff like that. It will help me fill your envy. I can't always get just what you ask for, but will try.

Postage keeps going up so now we need five usually,

Send 5 stamps and an address label with your name on it.
4 of the stamps will go back on your return envy, the extra will go into the "pot" I don't use it for personal use, but it helps when some mail comes with postage due and when the "oldies" send boxes of seeds sometimes there is postage due.
Best thing to do is just send me an empty bubble envy with your label and stamps inside. I can use that same envy to send your seeds back. Saves that envy!!
Also, if you will scotch tape the envy to send to me, I can use the self adhesive and won't destroy your envy pulling them open when I get them. That stuff is "tuff" and I end up with mangled envy's going back to you

Please make sure you put enough stamps on your envelope you send to me. An empty bubble envy is at least 84 cents, so two stamps. If you are sending seeds, it's more of course.

PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR D MAIL NAME WITH YOUR ENVY.

I am in the address exchange, so you know where to send the envy. If you can't find it, just d mail and I'll shoot it right to you. At the top of your home page, you'll see the link "EXTRA'S" ,Go into that link, scroll down and you'll see the address exchange this goes to the exchange http://davesgarden.com/address_exchange/ you have to add yourself to the exchange then you can get my address.

Oldies! lol If you would like to donate seeds, it would be great.!! I know how much I loved it when I was new and someone sent me seeds to get me started. Now I want to pay it forward and maybe you would too.

For those of you who would like to help the newbies, but just don't have a lot of seed, if you would like to trade for seeds, that is great as well. Send seeds for the newbies and I will send you the same amount back. Put a note in with your DG name and let me know what you are looking for also.
Happy Gardening Everyone,
Robin

I have to tell you all about my Mom.
She has never in my memory been a gardener. Mom doesnt really even enjoy being outside. She is 75, she thought I has gone over the edge when I brought her over to see the mess of remodeling we have been doing and came in the downstairs and saw all the seed. Robin what is all that she said, what in the world are you going to do with it all she says.
So I tell her the story and how I send them out to new people who join the site and how people send them to me. Now understand lots of seed come in bulk you can see some of it on former threads so they have to be bagged up individually before I can send them out to you.
This week I took all the bulk seed to my Mom she used two rolls of tape and I don't even know how many envies she packaged every last one. I am so excited I can hardly stand it. They are all prepackaged. My Mother the nothing to do with it gardener did the packaging. She has learned more flower and vegetable names at 75 then she did her whole life. The seed for newbies just keeps trickling down....Thank you all for listening I wanted to Thank My Mom for all the work.

A while back someone here asked me about Dave. This is some of what I found. Dave's member page http://davesgarden.com/members/dave/
I remember watching videos that Dave made if only I could find them again. I found some but not the ones I am speaking of. I am almost sure Dave wrote and published a New England Gardening book. Don't quote me though!! ( Silly I think I just did.) I remember seeing the pages of the book on Kimble I think. I thought I saved it. Well maybe not.
I don't wither remember who asked me the questions about Dave. But here you go whomever you are. I will post as I find more.

arejay,
We got a small start on where we are building the patio. This part in the picture that DH is tilling up is going to be a flower bed that runs down the side of the walk way from the patio.

There are a couple of pictures I want you to see so am going to put them on here,

This is a old pool ladder that we took and made a flower pot stand out of. It has all of our cactus and succulents on it

Washington, IN(Zone 6a)

This one is a tripod that we made for my Clematis to climb when the get big enough. Right now it has a planter and some coleus setting in the middle of it.

Nice recycling of the pool ladder, flower. I like it!!

Kelly

Washington, IN(Zone 6a)

Thanks, It was DHs idea. He did all the work. LOL I'll Take the credit though LOL

Litchfield, ME(Zone 5a)

Flower I love it!! That will be nice when the deck is all finished and you can kick back put your feet up!!

Washington, IN(Zone 6a)

Oh I just can't hardly wait to get it done. There will be flower beds on each side and then a walkway down toward the lake and will be flowers all along the walk way down there too. Big things to happen but just have to take a few steps at a time. LOL Going to have my fountain setting down the walk way too somewhere LOL Just tickled to death we are finally getting started on it, only if it would quit raining long enough to complete it now.

Loved your pictures Flower! Are those your lilies in the water behind your tripod? Your place seems so restful and private. Thanks for sharing.

Sherri

Washington, IN(Zone 6a)

No Those are cattails in the small lake that we have on the property. Yes I love it out here and we aren't all that far from town either only about 2 miles out. It is peaceful and serene . We sit out at night sometimes and just enjoy the peace and listen to the frogs and insects, and that is why we are trying to get it the way we want it so we can enjoy it even more.
