Oh Celia!! Your GH is kewl!!! And you sound like me..I'd be tripping too. It's there, I know it's there, doesn't matter, I'd trip anyway. Probably break my nose, something stupid. My finger is numb still. It's highly annoying and almost painful. Painful in that the pain is down the finger. It's caused by the carpal tunnel, so once it's fixed, I hope to that guy up there, that it's gone. Period, end of story!!! My luck is that the first Neurosurgeon waited too long to tell me he didn't like our insurance and I have permanent numbness in the tip of my middle finger. I have "slight" numbing in the tip of my index finger, same hand, and that came with the neck issue. So I don't know. I want a new body. Where do I get one??
You know, the eye doctor did that to me on a few occasions when I had my eyes dilated and John wasn't there. The first time like an idiot, I believed her. I also go to an eye doctor an hour away, over in Moline. That was fun, waiting a few hours, hoping and praying my eyes would clear some. The last few times, I don't know if they use something different or what's going on, but they were so dilated, it took 2 days after before they weren't. When I went to this specialist because of how messed up my right eye is, boy, did they ever dilate my eyes. And they had to use something different. They gave me the glasses like if you have cataract surgery. So lovely and they don't fit over regular glasses. Take my glasses off so they'd fit and I get a horrible headache, but they don't fit over, so basically I had to hold them there.
Well girls, I want to go outside and sit and watch the world go by. And besides, the Cubs are losing big time. Gosh darn it all!!! I shouldn't because my feet are so swollen, but I haven't in awhile for just that reason and I miss it. So I'm going!!

It wasn't so bad the 2nd time I went. It was could and I wore the funky glasses that go inside your regular ones. The ones w/o the ear pieces? Know what I mean? This last time, they did just the one eye and BOY!!! did that ever mess me up!!! Gave me a headache that lasted until today.
Last time my eyes were dialated was 2 years ago and she accidentally put several drops in one eye and it wasn't til the end of the next day that it went down. The guys at work were really freaked. lol. Heck I was too!!
Haven't had a chance to look for new phone yet. Sears men were here yesterday to replace dryer and then last night a friend broke down in the next town and I had to go try and jump start her. I probably tried for a good 30 min or more with no luck. Finally she called for tow truck and the guy who showed happens to live 2 doors from her. lol. When he rolled the truck off the rollback the lights came on. Before nothing at all would come on. So then I told her to start it and it started right up and purred. We were really, really NOT happy with that truck last night. I'm still mad at it!! LOL. Then we stood around til about 10pm talking before we finally parted cause we needed to hit the sack since we both had to work today. lol

Reporting back Sir! There were about 5 girls walking down the street. I heard them about 3 blocks up. Man, they were loud! They were the screaming kind of girls. I say girls, and I mean in the street light darkness, they looked to be about 12 or 13. I couldn't make out a word they said, because one or more would scream about something. My gosh were they annoying. After they passed, I heard them turn the corner and go up a block and then they turned the corner down on Church St. and must have headed down to Peru St. Did I mention they were loud?? I just hate that when girls scream in that high pitched voice. You know that high pitched scream I'm talking about?? sheesh, it's almost as bad as fingernails on a chalkboard!! Other than a dog bark now and then or a car passing, it was nice and quiet. Lots of bats too. I love it when it when it gets dark enough and all of a sudden, they're swooping right in front of the porch. I wish we had an owl or 2, but unfortunately we don't. We've got bats though!! LOL

Celia, yea, I know those kind of sunglasses. I know a lot of people who actually wear them, as sunglasses. They're so cheap, I don't know how they make them last! They dilated only one eye?? I've never heard of that!! That would give anyone a headache. What the heck were they thinking?

I was standing out in the middle of my yard last week and there were hundreds of what looked like fruit bats swooping and playing, then they started checking me out, they got so close I could see their 'hands' on their wings. It was very neat. We have Hoot Owls also, Hooo Hooo Hoo-Hooooooooooooo

Oh! Dang gum it!! That bat house is what I wanted to look at when we were at WBU!!! I knew another squirrel feeder, which they had this huge one that would be attached to a tree that we don't have, but nothing in the size or style really that I wanted. Change of subject here for a minute. Everyone knows I'm a huge Cubs fan, right? Alright then. They're in Colorado, beautiful state BTW, and they're making fools of themselves!! Last night, the Rockies won by 6 runs! Tonight, it's only the end of the 2nd inning, and already they're down by 6. I should say the score is 6 to nothing. That would be the Cubs who have nuthing. Call it a day (night) and go have a Coors. Good grief. We had one...ummm...2 yrs ago I believe, in the house. Our daughter got up in the night to use the bathroom and turned on the light! I don't know where the bat was, but soon it was flying all over upstairs. In the back area, down the hall into the front area and back again. It finally got all worn out from flying all over and stopped. I told my husband how to get him. Oh, first he went and found the suede gloves. There were 2 others in the house when I was working on it and John was in TN. The first one, I didn't know exactly how to get a hold of it or if you do, so I called my nephew. The 2nd one I removed myself. I didn't actually pay attention to the color so I don't know on that. It seems like it was brown and black. I'm horrible on that!
We had to run over to Best Buy yet again. I think we should buy some stock in the company! We had special ordered a 9" digital picture frame for John's brother, the one in the wheelchair. It was in, so we drove over to get it. While there, we were looking at laptops. I knew John really wanted one that he didn't have to constantly make sure Krista wasn't on which is sometimes never, it depends on her mood. I also knew that we couldn't buy one for him, Krista would be mad and I know that's dumb. You don't let your kids run you blah blah and to a heavy advantage, she doesn't. She just wants a new one so bad, it's all she's been talking about. Saving, how long it would take, which one she wanted. She just doesn't understand that the model she wants now won't be there in 6 months. I also know John and how he takes her into consideration and absolutely hates to do anything to hurt his baby girls feelings. So anyway, he says, "why don't we just go ahead and buy her a new one now and she can pay us back by the month?". Well, alrighty then. So that's what we did. That was Sat. We spent almost the whole darn day over there. Then Sun. morning, I woke up early and came down and for some reason, I did a search on Webroot, the Spy Sweeper with anti-virus thing Best Buy sold me for my computer and it's good for 3. I just bought a new version a couple weeks ago for up to 3 computers and now we've got 4 computers. I needed another that I didn't think about the day before. I talked John into going over again Sun. morning. In my reading, it sounded like Kaspersky was a far better product and protects against a heck of a lot more. They also have it for the 3 computers and then I could buy just one disk for 1 computer. The cost for the one was about equal to the breakdown cost for the big one. And of course I talked too much to too many different guys in blue shirts...lol Oh, then we get back? And my parents are here! Uh? My dad said I asked him to. When? In a manner in which I knew he never would? And for once in his life he actually did?? I can't keep up!

I was at PG yesterday for the Butterfly Festival. Attendence was waaay down all weekend and yesterday was a bust. Normally we average over 2000 people a day but yesterday we only got about 8-900. I ended up leaving early because there wasn't that much to do.
Terry, it's late and I'm going to read your post tomorrow when I get time, but there's a swap that just opened in the swaps thread that you choose what you want to be sent, a birdhouse, butterfly house, or bat house. I'm in it and chose the bat house.

I love watching the bats fly around my property. We have a slew out there and it's neat to watch them swirl, dip, and dive, and to hear their chirps and what-not. Had my mom on the phone last night, I guess we can call her Ms. Cheerful #2, dang she can be negative, everything is bad. Anyway, I told her about the bats, she said, "Oh you don't want them in your trees, they carry diseases!" So what??? They eat mosquitoes and other bad bugs, and they're just flying around, who cares if they're diseased.
Oh, I know! It's not like they're coming into your home and terrorizing the children! LOL

Oh bum! I love B&D. My step-dad's cousin's wife is friends with Joe, the lead singer for the Oak Ridge Boys, they might have to stop touring altogether because he's having major problems with his voice. They took him out to lunch last week and he said that he was instructed by the dr to not talk whatsoever, since they are on tour right now he could sing at the shows, but anytime else he is absolutely not to use his voice. Very sad.
I'll have to check their schedule.

And yes, if I had directly asked my dad to come over and help he wouldn't have shown, but since I asked knowing he'd never show, he showed up. And I find it so amusing that they stop by so often nowadays. It seems at least once a month they're here. Most times I'm not even asking, they're just here. Then my mom complains because I have no de-caf coffee. We don't drink coffee, but they bought me a coffee pot when we lived in TN so they could have coffee. So if they want coffee and I'm right here in the same town, why aren't they buying the coffee like they did in TN? I don't know what kind of coffee they're going to like this month. Yes, they switch flavors every time I turn around. They've switched brands quite a few times too. My brother thinks they're getting Alzheimer's and I say it's mad cow. It's not Alzheimer's, that's for sure. Bob said Dad was meaner, so it has to be. I asked my brother if dad has it, did he get it when he and mom had children? He's always been mean, come on!!! I'm not joking, I'm complaining....LOL (lawn-mowing man is done)(dang!! that was a loud band shutting his shed shut)

It was the Mississippi Valley Fair over somewhere in the Quad Cities last week, I it was then anyway. Davenport maybe? I don't know. But I heard Alice Cooper played. Now that would be a concert for me to see. And I missed it. Figures. Whoever it is that's coming to our fair is still coming even though the stage collapsed on him in some performance, or some storm or something. Course he's a Country singer but I have no idea on his name. Started with a C I believe.

I'm in sooo much trouble! Today's my mom's birthday and of all days I forgot my cell phone at home, of course all of my phone numbers are in my cell phone and I don't have any memorized. Worse yet Dave texts me every day between 11 and 2, it's on vibrate with a very low battery, so if it's still on he'll never hear it. I'll have to call him around 11:30 I guess and hope he answers his phone, he usually doesn't.

No, no headlight in the mower. I'd see it, it was so dark out there. And hitting those rocks? He always hits rocks out while mowing and we don't have rocks in the soil and they don't have rocks as mulch etc etc.....so the rocks in his head are falling out because of the vibration of the mower??? It's a...what do call them? Oh yea, a push mower (mad cow is knocking on my door).
See? Mad cow. It's genetic. Either that or the beef I got it from, was that last bloody burger he made me eat. No wait, he ate the bloody burger, I put mine back on the grill and insisted on a new bun too. I don't know how many times I have to tell the man I don't eat cows that moo? Yet, he still keeps giving me bloody steak or bloody burgers. Yuck yuck and more yuck. I'm sorry if somebody here likes raw meat or rare meat, I'm just not one of them. I've given up on asking for medium at restaurants. I just tell them to make sure they're done. And I add that I didn't say well done, I said done. Sometimes I even get a steak that's medium! I know, send it back. I've sent back way too many steaks that I've gotten back that are still cold and raw on the inside, they've just squashed all the juice out of them. Anyone else had that done? It's not just one restaurant up here I'm talking about, it's quite a few, in a few difference states. Always prefer to go a steak joint where we can cook our own. Makes it a lot easier!

Either that or you do what I did on my moms last birthday and thought it was the next week. My dad said something I can't remember what though. Anyway, it made me look at my mom rather odd, her mom was next to her and I looked at her and back to my mom and back to my dad and like a Mac truck, it hit. It was one of those real big DUH!!!! moments. I never get their anniversary right. I wasn't there, so I can't remember. It's either of 2 dates and it really is one of them. Is that right, date I mean, when you know the month?
I had one of those not available caller ID calls, so of course I didn't answer, but I was left a recorded message from Best Buy. I had said not long ago to some of the blue shirt guys that I wasn't getting my reward zone certificates. This phone call was to tell me by name, I had $80 in reward zone certificates that were sent out in Feb. They were not!!!! I never received any certificates. They aren't like something you'd miss. I told John and we both decided that we weren't letting 80 bucks go to waste. So off we went to Best Buy, yet again. Then on Sat. we went the other way to find Target. Not that there isn't a Target over in Moline, we were running out of time because of eating with my parents on Fri. night and I was just plain tired. So, we went to Target and John should know after all these years that it's never simply going to Target...lol Krista told me 'The Travelers Wife' was playing over there, but not in our theater. We walked into the actual theater room while they were playing previews, so pitch black. Try finding a seat in that!! And for 3 people no less! I ended up asking a guy in the last row if there were 3 seats beside them, but there were 2, so they moved and that left 3 seats. Pretty good, eh? LOL If you haven't seen it yet and want to, bring your tissues. Oh heck...lol...I needed to find a Target because my niece, my sisters daughter, is pregnant. I shouldn't have said it to my mom of all people, but it was one of those things that just comes out because you're thinking it and it's true anyway...but I said "she needs kids like her mom needed kids". Oooops. Oh well.

First I wanted to read the bio and about fell on the floor when it became apparent he was raised there, but then I did the interview, it was 'The Late Late Show' with Craig Ferguson? Oh man. To hear him speak and watch 'House' is confusing! LOL The interview was at youtube, and I saw something about speaking....oh heck I don't know what it's called. British? They actually take a course in school I gathered anyway, that's English. Like we take Spanish or French. Isn't that weird? I never really thought about it in England. I know a guy who teaches English in Japan, but in my head it's a "well, that's Japan!!!".....yea, mad cow.

Other shows, like 'Monk', are just starting. And of course our old favorites will be back at the usual start time for them. Weird anymore.
