Comments regarding Brushwood Nursery

I received all three plants ordered (two clematis and one ground nut) packed well, healthy, good size and on schedule. I'm pleased.

This was my first purchase. I bought a Sweet Autumn Clematis. The plant arrived quickly, very well packaged and healthy. Much larger than I expected. Beautiful plant. I am very happy with the service and quality. I will no doubt buy from them again.

I ordered Dr Ruppel and Henryi from Brushwood Gardens. They came today, and are very healthy and happy looking.

I ordered a Huldine clematis from Brushwood a month or so ago. It arrived right on time, and was wonderfully packed. The plant was in a pot and the soil was still very moist. An insert recommended watering the plant "even if the soil was still moist" and placing in the shade for a day, which I did. I appreciated the specific extra directions.

The clematis seems very healthy and is growing very well. I would definitely buy from them again!

This is the first time I have ordered from Brushwood Nursery. I ordered a Joseph's Coat and Westerland rose and a Viola clematis. I was not disappointed. The plants were a nice size and healthy! Thank you

Just received my order from Brushwood - three plants all in excellent condition. The rose has a bloom and a bud. I have not often received such happy plants. Will certainly order again.

Over the past few weeks, I have received mail order clematis from five different vendors. They varied in size and price quite a bit, but I'm happy to say that all the plants are thriving and happy... from every vendor. Brushwood offered a fantastic selection, the roots on their plants are mid-size compared to the others, their prices are very reasonable (and even better with the 10% ACS discount they offer), their discount policy for bulk purchases is fantastic, and their shipping costs are much lower than any of the other vendors. The owner was friendly, quick and helpful with his emails. My order arrived promptly, packaged well, and in very healthy condition. Overall, Brushwood offers me the most "bang for my buck" with clematis purchases and I will happily be a repeat customer in the future. A++++ vendor! =)

I received my first order with Brushwood, and I am so pleased!! The climbing roses and honeysuckle all arrived in perfect condition -- and mailed out promptly. All were very well established and the climbing rose already had blooms. Amazing! I will order again!

I ordered from Brushwood and received a wonderful box full of well packed, healthy plants. The plants were obviously carefully and expertly packed, came in right on time and arrived in perfect condition. I have seen similar clematis and other vines for much more money, so I was so pleased to see that the vines were a good size and the roots weren't all smushed up in containers. Instead the roots were healthy, with plenty of breathing room and growing strong. It really has been a pleasure doing business with Brushwood, I will continue to order from them, and hope they continue to sell their terrific plants for a long, long time.

I am very happy with my clematis. It was well-packaged and arrived when specified in great condition. The leaves are healthy and the roots are robust.

Every time I order from Brushwood Nursery I've been extremely impressed with the quality of the plants as compared with other mail-order outfits. Heck, the quality is generally better than local nurseries. The packaging of the plants is done with great care and effort. My only "complaint" is that I wish they offered more varieties of plants so that I could avoid using other mail-order companies more. Still I wouldn't want them to broaden their selection if it came at the cost of reduced quality.

This was my first time ordering from Brushwood, and I am seriously impressed! I received my order of two passionflowers and one red honeysuckle plants and they were in wonderful condition--the soil was even still moist! The plants are bigger than I had expected (I'm not complaining), and appear to be VERY healthy. I can't wait to plant these new beauties, and I will definitely order from Brushwood again.

Ordered 2 climbing roses, 2 clematis, a variegated honeysuckle and an akebia. All arrived as requested, in excellent condition, not large but very healthy. Were planted the same day and all appear to be happy in their chosen sites. Good prices, great packaging, and beautiful plants delivered in a timely manner. What more could you ask?

I ordered two "own root" rose bushes from Brushwood. I believe they have the best root system of any small size rose plants I have seen . I will definitely order more of these own root roses from them in the future. These roses eliminate the bud union factor in planting, or having it freeze and die the winter, causing the rose to revert to the rootstock it was grafted on to. The planting process is less tricky, since the roots will regenerate themselves, and not depend on the bud union.

I bought 1 New Dawn climbing rose from Brushwood this July. It arrives soon and in good condition after my placing the order. Now after nearly 3 months, it has grown up to 3 feet and blooms profusely with no need of spraying! The price of the plant with such outcome definitely is reasonable, and the shipping fee is inexpensive, too. Highly recommended!

I ordered 2 clematis for late-September delivery. They arrived yesterday (Friday), good looking plants, leaves very fresh and robust, good root systems, packaged well. A good experience.

I ordered seven new clematis from Brushwood; my first experience with them. They arrived promply and were very well rooted. The top growth on all was fresh; one even had blooms! I am very pleased with the order and look forward to seeing all the plants in bloom next year.

I ordered eight Clematis from them for delivery in mid September. Today, Sept. 14th, I received two boxes in the mail. One box was seriously damaged and two of the plants were knocked loose. Their packaging was so good that the only damage was some loose soil. The plants were much larger than I had expected and all appear to be in excellent health. I am very pleased with this company and will not hesitate to make further purchases from them.

I ordered two clematis vines from the Brushwood web Site in February. In the beginning of May, received only one of the two that were ordered --- but ALSO received a note with the shipment (and an email notification) explaining that there was a delay with the second clematis and it would be shipped within two weeks. I followed up, about two weeks later, with an email to ask about the second vine. My email was very promptly answered, and I was informed that the second clematis was held for me and would be shipped that week. On the next day, I received email shipment tracking information so I could see the progress of the delivery.

I was very pleased with the condition of the plants --- Although I have honestly never ordered clematis before, so I cannot compare to other companies. But I am most impressed with the quality of customer service. They were very quick to reply to my email. I also like the tracking email notification to follow the progress of the shipping. I would highly recommend Brushwood to other people. Great customer service is hard to find these days, but Brushwood's customer service is outstanding.

Of all my online ordering experiences, my BEST experience has been my order from Brushwood Nurseries. The selection is outstanding--they have varieties of clematis I have not seen anywhere but online. The plants are robust and gorgeous. The prices may seem a bit high however shipping is 'free' and FAST--anyway, our local greenhouses are selling basic Jackmannii for $15 in a quart size pot --none of which ever look as nice as the plants I received..

I will definitely be ordering again next spring.

I was searching for a hagley hybrid clematis and found it on Brushwood's site. I ordered two. About 4 days later, I had not recieved a confirmation email, I tried to login to check my account. Since I was then unable to login, I promptly sent the company an email explaining the problem. That was at Midnight on a Sunday. The next morning, I had a reply before 8am!! I was completely thrilled that Dan had replied so quickly. Come to find out, I had incorrectly typed my email address (twice) and that was why I never received my confirmation email and why I could not login. Dan changed it and everything works now.

The plants just arrived and are so much more than I was expecting. Each plant had multiple vines, secured to a tall stake, and lots of leaves. The plant (not including pot) was near a foot tall! It arrived a week and one day after originally placing the order. And the shipping was free! Also, I did shop around and the prices per plant were much lower here than just about everywhere else I looked (online and locally). I would definitely recommend ordering from them. I know all my vining orders will be coming solely from Brushwood from now on.

I love Brushwood! They have a great selection, the plants are a nice size for the price, and you can't beat the "buy 3, no shipping" deal. Good customer service, as well. Everything I've gotten from here has done well, and the honeysuckle and Betty Corning clematis on my fence (purchased from Brushwood) always draw a lot of attention from passersby.

I received 3 really strong, rapidly growing vines from Brushwood. I had a couple of questions about plant care and emailed them to the company - received a friendly and detailed answer on the same day. I love vines and Brushwood is definitely the place to get them. I'll be back for more.

Just received my first ever order from Brushwood today. I AM VERY HAPPY!!! These are some nice looking Clematis. Very healthy and well packaged. Now I can't wait to get my second order that's coming in a couple of weeks. I had a question about the color of a Clematis and they were quick with a friendly reply. Also, they often add new selections which keeps me going back to have another look.
