| Positive | broper (1 review) | On Jun 27, 2011, broper Cumming, GA wrote: I wanted to add asparagus to my vegetable garden and, after searching several vendors' websites, selected gardenharvestsupply.com. I ordered 20 plants each of 2 varieties with an understanding that the plants would be shipped to me in early May. I received the asparagus crowns and found them to be in good shape. Following the accompanying instructions, I planted the crowns. The germination took between 2 and 4 weeks, but ultimately resulted in over 25 plants emerging from the soil. The plants are healthy and I am completely satisfied. I will do business with this company again in the future. |

I emailed them with the problem and they emailed me back and said they would send the right thing and for me to keep the wrong item, and use it if I needed it. You have to remember, you are dealing with human beings, they make mistakes sometimes. I make my fair share, plus a few of other peoples shares. The question you have to ask is, "Was the problem corrected?" In my case, yes it was. Pleasure doing business and I would recommend your company to my friends and associates. Thank you. I kept checking my order and it never showed as being shipped even as I received hibiscus plants I ordered from other places. I called early last week and the person from the company said that it would be shipped last week. That never happened. I emailed yesterday to find out what what was going on. I received emails today stating that it was not shipped because one of the items I ordered 5 weeks ago, a Black Dragon hibiscus, was out of stock because of a supposed crop failure. What this had to do with the rest of my order I do not know but I was never informed of this and had to go out of my way to find out what happened to get the rest of my order shipped. On May 10, 2011, Growjoy responded with: "On May 10, 2011 10:28 AM, Garden Harvest Supply responded with: flower36child I am very sorry to hear about this problem. I have just spoken with everyone who is involved with your order. Each order is "processed" as soon as it is placed, however it does not ship until the particular week for your state. When you called last week, we did not pay attention to the individual items on your order and just assumed everything was shipping, since NJ shipped last week. Please allow me to apologize for this error on our part, there is no excuse for this oversight. The Black Dragon did have a crop failure, I apologize we did not follow through with you when we were informed. It appears you gave us the go ahead to ship the rest of your order, we will get it right out. I would appreciate a follow up once our order arrives. Again, I am very sorry we have failed in giving you great customer service. Joe" |

The prices were the best at least $2.00 less than all other places I checked, I ordered 3 each Black Velvet, a gorgeous Pinstripe, double wave White and easy wave blue, I have today planted them all. I left them outside to settle, to make sure our cool Massachusetts nights were not too cool, but we are having odd warm weather and they are doing just fine. Thank you I love them and will be back. |

I couldn’t believe I had all of them when the package arrived. It was big..but looked too small to contain so many veggies and flowers. ..The surprise was on me and a very pleasant one at that. ..It contained everything very neatly packed and in 4 inch pots. ..They were all extremely healthy with very moist soil. ..I am so-o appreciative of this company. ..The price for the plants was very reasonable and I got more than I thought. For example: an order for four corn plants turned out to be twelve, as each pot actually contained three very healthy little plants. Love it! ..I will definitely be ordering from them many times in the future. |
| Positive | missmochalatte (1 review) | On May 6, 2011, missmochalatte Wake Forest, NC wrote: The prices were so reasonable that my sister passed on ordering anything, saying she would see what I got. So I placed a trial order for 5 plants, a hose nozzle and organic seeds . The nozzle and seeds arrived in a couple days, a separate shipment at no extra cost. The plants arrived a week later and in good shape. Sure, they were small, but so healthy they doubled in size every few days. When my sister saw the plants, she wanted some too. I wanted more plants and another nozzle. Unfortunately, my second order arrived in a badly damaged box. Soil was spilled and every plant was disturbed. I repotted the plants hoping to salvage some. But the plants were so healthy that the next morning all but two looked fine. Stefni at Garden Harvest Supply immediately ordered relacement plants, and within a few days we received two wonderful replacements. My sister is delighted with the plants I ordered for her and mine are thriving in the garden. Based on above, we have recommended this company to our friends. |

My neutral grade is that I live in Conn. ( zone 6 ) and the night temps are still in the 40's and maybe a 50 now and then. Peppers do not grow in these temps plus they become stunted and sickley if planted out. Tomatoes are not even in the gardens yet never mind peppers. I will have to keep them indoors, under lights, until at least Memorial Day which is over 3 weeks away. I think Garden Harvest Supply should have known what the weather conditions are before they ship or ask for a tenative shipping date from the customer upon order. That's it On May 5, 2011, Growjoy responded with: "On May 6, 2011 8:21 AM, Garden Harvest Supply responded with: Dear tommyfemc: First of all, let me say thanks for your order, it is appreciated! I am sorry you received your order earlier than you wanted. Unfortunately there is no way we could monitor the conditions in all of the states we ship to. We determine our ship dates according to the last frost dates as assessed by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. In past years we have shipped to Connecticut in the 2nd week of May; however we had a lot of customers from your state asking for earlier ship times, they thought we were waiting too long, so we moved it up 1 week. At the end of each season we reevaluated our ship dates, we will certainly keep your suggestion in mind. Now for your plants, 30 days is way too long for you to try and keep them alive inside. We would be glad to have them picked up and returned to us. We will then reship on a date you tell us (keep in mind that you do have the option during checkout to choose an earlier or later date than the one that is showing on our ship dates page), is this an acceptable solution for your order? You may also call our office toll-free at 888- 907-4769 to discuss this further. Sincerely, Joe" |
