Here's old photo I was 4 yrs old with my brother and dad 1950's Ford camping at San Bernardino Mountain in Nov. 61....
Cars
That's a great pic, Rusty! I love old cars...(sigh)
Awwww, Anna, you're so darned cute!!
We were almost at the tail end of the parade. We were followed by this little car. Not battery operated. I felt sorry for the kid inside it. That's his Dad standing outside the car. Poor kid was sealed up in there for a long time and it was over 100 degrees that day. Parade started late, luckily the parade route was only one really long block. Dad stayed next to that car for the whole route. As soon as the parade was over, the kid's Dad went to find a can opener! We gave some people a ride home and were invited in for a cocktail. I don't drink alcohol, and I didn't want to leave my friend Bill sitting in the buckboard alone. I did climb out and stretch my legs and had a cig. Talked to some cute girls that lived there.
If 24goingfor5 is around he'll appreciate this photo. Very nice young ladies. They marched the whole route shepherding a group of girls in red with pom poms. I noticed that the boy scouts rode in a trailer. Girls are tougher than boys.
Sending 3 photos of the parade after this one.
