Thanks Hugger...they are a delightful bird to watch! Best of luck in your quest!

This is the only shot I got of all 5 fledglings from the first nest. I haven't gotten any from the 2nd nest.

Thanks everyone...I love the baby blues too! I was able to get some shots of the other "blues" today...the fledgling Barn Swallows. I need to go to town to pick up my new glasses and I hope I will be able to see better with them. Lately my eyes have been very very old!

Lily...I would faint if an Egret visited my backyard! You just have the best place to live...green with envy here!

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

Love the BB juvies too....I need new glasses too. But it will have to wait until christmas bonus time. Told DH my "warbler eyes" are too tired!

Great shots everyone!!

Manzanita, OR(Zone 8b)

Great is right! Love all the photos. NMJane, congrats on the Phain. photo. I thought I'd gotten one, but it turned out to be a Stellar Jay. Maybe next time!

One of my younger Orioles-can't tell if it's a Hooded or a Bullock's since both are here.

Duc, that's a really beautiful picture of the young Oriole, nice setting!!!
Rose, The bluebird group, is very nice, and love the one gathering nesting material too.
Lily you get to see birds, I don't get to see, on that lake.
I would have mistaken the black-headed Grosbeak for an Oriole.
Cute little birdhouse, huggergirl.
Burd_Fotos nice House Finch. Close resemblance to the Purple Finch, that I get.

Beautiful shot duc!

Love the Goldeneye's burn!

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Burn, same goes for us here. I don't get to see some of the birds from your region, nor those from out west like where Jane is. I'm so glad we all get together here to share with one another.

Rose, you're cordially invited here for a vacation, if only you will promise to take me birding during your visit. Deal?

Keep those gorgeous pix coming everyone.

Klamath River, CA

While sitting on my front porch this evening, I decided to document the different bird species that showed up in my front yard during a 30 minute period. Starting with the Bullock's Oriole with a bill full of peach preserves.

Excellent shots Rose! Those mature males are so beautiful! The females have their own soft beauty.

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Oh, Rose. When you're ready ... just remember to bring your camera. lol. I have yet seen a bunting around here. Maybe I need to visit you instead. Ha.

I think this is my Parent Eastern Phoebe (who's) out hunting early this morning, but couldn't be sure. The plumage is a little different than what I've been observing them.

Burn, love the Goldeneyes!

Adel, that's a great photo of your Oriole with the preserves. I'll have to give that a try. I have so many Orioles here right now and not one of them liked the grape jelly or oranges. Great photos, especially liked the Stellar Jay. I had a few of them here for just a week and then they disappeared.

Rose, the Buntings are gorgeous!!

Lily, your Phoebe looks so pretty in that setting! Great photo.

Wow..nice pics...I ain't posting after those!

Klamath River, CA

duc...........last year I tried several things to entice the Orioles and the peach preserves seemed to work the best. This year they have totally ignored the orange halves, so far they are only interested in the hummer feeders and the preserves.

Manzanita, OR(Zone 8b)

Nanny, you're too nice!

Adel, I forgot to ask you if you've seen any Blk-headed Grosbeak babies yet? I'm still waiting for some here. I keep seeing an adult male, but that's it. Last year the babies loved the chopped peanuts I put out for them. They're what we say "so ugly you have to love them". By the way, my preserves are out there by the sugar water and so far they're not even looking at it!
