Hi, I'm also new to gardening, and I started a container garden on my apartment patio about six weeks ago. Everything is growing beautifully, but recently I dropped something on my cucumber plant which broke all the vines. No fruit has yet to produce (not that I expected it), and the leaves now have holes in them, but I haven't completely cut them away. I'm not sure what to do, have I killed the plant, or lost any chances of producing cucumbers this year. Help. It was so beautiful, but now it looks very depressed.
I think I broke my cucumber plant
Can you post a picture? If you dropped something on it and some stems broke off, chances are they would regrow, although it may delay getting cucumbers for a while longer. The holes in the leaves makes it sound like you've got some sort of insect chewing on them.
