Floppy Carrot shoots

Hi all,

I have some carrots Ive been growing and the shoots (Green stems) flop over. Ive tried supporting them by leaning them on the stronger ones but I dont know of any other way to keep them up.

Why would this happen? Its almost like they didnt get enough light. What suggestions to keep the shoots up?
