It's a pleasure to look at your collections Lily!
I only have 3 different Daylilies and I've been waiting for you to show the one's I have. LoL!
I think the last one Stella De Oro is one of mine!! must take a picture, it's started to flower.

Have I got wild strawberries Candee?, I thought that was brambles!!
Thanks for the Hebe link dalfyre, I would like some new ones, they are on my Autumn shopping list..
The one above used to be varigated, the odd green leaf would appear and as long as I kept removing the green leaves it was ok. This year, due to neglect, all the leaves have turned green... oh well, such is nature!

Sacramento, CA(Zone 9a)

With my lack of space, and since daylilies are not the greatest cut flowers (though Blossom has shown that they come in all colors and forms) I have kept my inventory of daylilies down to 3 different ones too.

Peonies, on the other hand, I have just ordered 4 more, bringing the herbaceous up to 20. Not sure where I will put them though.
Some Gallardia in bloom - not the best cut flowers either, but it does have a long blooming period so I keep a few around for color in odds and ends spots. Wish they would not spread so much - spend soooo much time pulling them up. You can see in the photo how many seeds are ripening. I can't keep up with the deadheading.

Hi everyone!
Great show of Gallardia Dianne! I planted 12 so hope to get some flowers later on!
Nice Helebore dalfyre, a good easy plant, I must get a redish one like yours.
Been very busy at work, we have the last week of term to get through then I'm on summer holidays and hope to have lots more time to play!!!
Have a good weekend, Happy gardening!!

Emory, TX(Zone 8a)

Terri,

What color is/ are your hellebore? Mine are green. I only got them this year on clearance at Lowe's. It was a good deal as anothing was wrong with them except a little wind damage. They look great now. I want some other colors also though...

Christchurch, New Zealand

I don't know what my hellebore will open out to, must ask my boss, she gave me 3 babies to plant.
My new ones are H Lenten Bouquet, H. Blue Lady, H.Red Lady.

We have rain and a thunderstorm at the moment! If anyone is watching the tennis at Wimbledon, we are not very far away.. LoL! They have a new roof this year, good job!

Is it HOT??? Just low 100's, that's all. Wish we had some of your thunderstorm!

london England, United Kingdom

Gosh, that hot already! No wonder you have such lovely Cannas and I have none!! It wont get much above the 80's if we are lucky and get a sunny summer. Hope your plants are ok, lots of watering for you!

Im tired of dragging hoses.. we seem to have hit a dry spell.

We are having a heatwave...... 82 degrees! The hottest day of the year, hope it stays a while.
Love THAT vase Dianne, you should use it more often dear!

london England, United Kingdom

Yardqueen, I'm giving you number 18 for the Sunflower contest. Like it or not ..... LoL!

Emory, TX(Zone 8a)

What sunflower contest? LOL I missed something I guess...

Sacramento, CA(Zone 9a)

Heat wave at 82 degrees ????? LoL. We are over 100 for three days in a row now - got up to 108 degrees F yesterday. I finally went into the swimming pool.
I like that vase too Terri, but it is a 31/2 inch by 9 inch rectangle and it takes a lot of flowers (or several substantial stalks) to fill it up. I could rig up something to hold tthe stems upright - next rainy day project I guess (with the dry summer, next rainy day will most likely be in October)

Christchurch, New Zealand

hmmm - if you are having a heat wave we must be having a cold wave...
it was all of 7C at the warmest.
YardQueen the hellebores were $4.99 at 'the Warehouse'
I think it is what you guys call a 'box store'...

Laurel, DE(Zone 7a)

I have quite a lot in bloom right now.

I transplanted this yucca last year and it is blooming again. It keeps coming up in the old spot as well and I finally had to RU it to get rid of it over in the sun garden.

Hi Hiaghr, yes, if you do not dig ALL the yucca root, it will come back again and again. You can start yucca easy, just take about an inch of the root and plant it. Its like a derned potato. If you catch an "eye" on it, it will grow!
