Dale, we enjoy the same. Hope you keep adding to the thread. (We DO grow a few of those things, in the house or in the greenhouse.)
We have another contributor from Texas and love to see the stuff she posts as well.

Dale that public garden looks so pretty! Love your other photos, too. One of my sons was in town for a few days and we went to the Portland Rose Garden, which of course is amazing, but then we went to the Japanese Garden. Oh what a treat! Lush and peaceful with wonderful plant combinations of color and texture. I have lived in Portland 15 months and had never been there. I will return very soon.

Red we did go to the Rose Garden, then the Japanese Garden after that. i like the Japanese Garden better - it is more peaceful.

Dale - welcome. It's fun to have you in this forum. And you're right - it's so interesting to see the plants one can't grow. It's also interesting to see how different the plants we both can grow look in the different environments.

Usually, everything we have is all leaves. This summer, we're having a near-record-setting dry spell (25+ days without rain). And, not only has it been dry, but it's been sunny almost all those days, which is unheard of. The plants and bees are going crazy. We have had many blossoms on plants and they have stayed longer than usual. Our rhododendrons have been spectacular.
