Rj.... I love your Island. What fun.
Bea.... lovely group of pictures. The colors in bloom for you now are so bright!
Garden Pics: 'Postcards from the Garden.'...#7
ahhhhhh I love the frog RJ..... So Cute!
Irwells... what a lovely bunch of pictures. I love helenium. I bet that you'll do great with it since out climate here is generally a little on the cool side of things for them. Some areas of Texas have very, very close relatives of it that are native plants, so I think that you'll really like it!
RJ..Your little tree frog is a much smaller subject that my bull frogs. He is so cut. I miss the tree frogs around here. Not sure where they all went. Had bunches when I first put in my pond.
Willow..your courtyard is just lovely. I would like to sit and read a good book out there!
Your courtyard is so pretty. I so wish we could do something like that at our house.
Willow, your courtyard is absolutely gorgeous. Love all the brick and the colors.
What I would give for a courtyard like that!!! It is stunning!!
Love your courtyard!!!
Ditto!!
Willow.... your coutyard is beautiful.
Good Evening Sally! I'm going to make a new thread in a few minutes.... any thoughts on a new title?
How does your garden grow?
Not to inspired tonight, BIL passed away on Thurs., DH is taking it hard. Not unexpected, he'd been given 3-6 mos. but only made 7 weeks. Doesn't make it any easier though. Step daughter is having a hard time too, poor kid lost her mom a couple of months ago. Been on the phone a lot!
We had a park wide garage sale today. First time ever, I didn't sell, just wandered around and looked at what every one else had. I think they ended up with 22 houses out of 99, the place was packed!!! I set the gate to open at 10:30 and they were lined up outside before then. It was like a circus all day. One of the neighbors has a plant she wants ID'd. I'll go take a picture tomorrow, see if you or anybody else knows what it is. Smells like a gardenia to me, but doesn't look like any that I've seen.
Ohhhh.... I'm sorry to hear that Sally. That's to bad. But, it sounds as though it's an end to a hard fought battle. Definitely unfortunate for the step daughter though. How old is she.
The community garage sale sounds as if it would've been interesting to see. Hopefully folks found some good stuff! Now i'm curious to see what this unknown plant is!
Well.... we've reached 300, so it's time for a new thread again!!!
New Thread
New Thread!! http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1002348/
Thanks. She's my 'kid' (since she was 5 anyway) but she turns 48 this year, same age as my oldest boy. But she's by herself and was real close to her mom. She took off work and nursed her for the last month. Luckily she's an engineer and could do it and now she's doing grief counseling, it's helping. She and I have always been close too, so we've been able to talk a lot.
Yes, I'm curious about the plant too. We've got an estate sale still going on tomorrow. Someone's moving, so the gate will be open again. We're having the park garage sale next weekend. So the gate will be open Sat. and Sun. again. But the people going to that are directed to park up by the gate, so the streets won't be full like today.
She sounds like a great person, who's very strong. I'm sure that she'll be fine with the support of the family. Still tough to deal with though.
Your community is definitely very busy this week!
Yep, they asked for a personal garage sale day for years, now they're all complaining it was too much work!!LOL
Figures. Well, I guess folks will have learned! that will be a good thing.
I thought it was funny. It's always a big deal for the park sale. Takes 3 days to set up, we have a breakfast on the last set up day, and then 2 days of sale, then the tear down. Always a lot of work, but not everyone helps with that, so they don't realize the work involved.
hopefully your not the one doing most of the work. You have enough going on.
Nope, I set up the gate on my computer, make up some fliers, cook at the breakfast, then I'm done.
That's plenty!
