ZebraVine/Black Pagoda

Minneapolis, MN

Hi! Does anyone have any info regarding these cultivars of the lipstick plant? Is this the same variety?

(Zone 1)

I have never heard of a plant called Zebra Vine but there is a Aeschynanthus (Lipstick Plant) called 'Black Pagoda'. Here's the link to the information in Plant Files with photo's: http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/53424/

You might be referring to "Tiger Stripe". Black pagoda has reddish flowers while tiger Stripe has green flowers.

Thank you all so much! You've been very helpful! I also went to www.gesneraids.ca for further help. They are 2 different types of the Aeschynanthus species. But one has green flowers, which is A. zebrina (Zebra vine) aka A. marmoratus aka A. longicaulis. This is one of the parent plants for A. Black Pagoda which has similiar leaves but red/orange flowers. They are both hybrids. Thanks!!!
