I just might!
Emma!
Oh, she is just so cute !
*** Thanks for the iris, they came yesterday and it's a perfect couple of days to plant them - been raining off and on. Thank you so much!
JD, I kinda think we won't be having one in Oct....what do you think? I really miss Don and Pam, not the same without them...and hey! YOU don't post much, Donna doesn't post at all...the spark is gone......sigh...
Huh ? I post all the time, all over the place !
You're the one who hasn't been around !
Louise, I can't believe how big your little girl is getting. Just so darned cute. Can I hold her please....pretty please???? Thank you for keeping us up to date with pics, we all love to see them. :-)
I am here Sherry, just been so darned busy this past week.
I think it's time I contact Mr. Don about the RU. I know he is a busy guy, but we need to be able to chat about a RU like all the other DGRU's are doing right now. I've been contacted by several people lately asking about the RU this year.
Yes, you've been more absent than I have...lol
Yes, for sure you can hold her Donna, let's get you up here real soon! (I charge a minimal fee to hold her!!)
Yes....I'm depressed.....
...sounds like someone needs some caffeine and lots of baked goods...
Get thee to a bakery !
Louise maybe if we all beg she will let us bring Emma.
Assuming there's gonna be a round up in Oct. Marie, you should come to it. If it's gonna be at Dr Don's north of Temecula, that's only about a 4 1/2 hour drive for you dear. I know it's a little boring between Tolleson and Palm Springs, but it's tolerable. I made that trip so many times when my DGDs were first born and the few subsequent years, I found it cheaper to just move here. LOL I still go to Cottonwood fairly regularly and that trip only costs me around $75 and it's farther on both ends.
I've seen a LOT of babies in my day, but never one that young with THAT MUCH hair !!! It's amazing.
I won't have to beg Marie, dd will probably let me bring her!
Yeah Marie, if there is a RU, you ought to come! I know of a real cheap hotel!!!! (you have to tolerate the dogs!)
DP: Do they stop you at the state line and hassle you about bringing back plants ?
Don't you love that hair?!!?!!? And her mama was born bald but has a beautiful head of hair now. Her daddy was blessed with alot of hair too.
Sorry for the cross posting Mike.
Well you know Rodica and I would not miss a trip to our favorite hotel and our favorite round-up with all of our favorite people. If I remember right we will be honoring Donna at this one?
DP I would rather just fly over. We have our own personal taxi service pick us right up at the curb :o) We could not ask for a better 5 star place either :o)
LOL!
I heard that it's listed in AAA's directory. LOL
Also in the AARP!
You could shoot for the Lonely Planet guide!
When I lived in AZ, I was two and a half hours to the airport on that end and nearly an hour on this end so it really wasn't worth it for me to fly. By the time I spent 3 1/2 hours altogether driving on both ends and a couple of hours fussing with the two airports, it only "saved" me about an hour of time. Then I didn't have a car when I got here. But I know you're not nearly that far from Sky Harbor. If you need a taxi service on this end, let me know. I just bought a new truck and I'm always looking for an excuse to drive it. LOL.
Oh dear, DP, you got rid of the 'bent' truck then? I'm glad something good came out of it.
Ok explain the "bent" truck please ?
Sorry - DP got rear-ended coming to our place to pick up some plants. :-( We were so glad he wasn't hurt. There are multiple accidents near us every month and some of them do not end up as good. People don't look ahead and when someone is making a left turn onto our road, wham! We'll be so glad when they redirect the highway away from us. The road is so dangerous they are going ahead with the construction in spite of the budget crunch.
This is the "bent truck" she refers to Marie. And no Kathleen, I still have it. They wouldn't really give me anything for it anyway. I got the bumper fixed and a new taillight lens so it works fine for a work truck. It's got rattles that it used to not have, but I only drive it to haul things now and do my yard maintenance accounts once a week. It'll probably last many more years.
It certainly could have been worse. I didn't realize it at the time I was at your house Kathleen, (maybe just the shock of it all) but I've since developed some pretty nasty symptoms. My neck and shoulders are still feeling the effects of that crash. I've been going to a chiropractor 3 times a week since about 10 days after the accident and I'm seeing a neurologist as well. Have an MRI scheduled for next week. Hopefully they can figure out what the problem is from that and get me some relief that will last more than a couple of days at a time.
Cool truck, DP. Sorry to hear about those symptoms, though. Been there. Our bodies can absorb a lot of shock, but only so much. It can take a long time to get it all straightened out. Be careful of that chiro, too. (Also been there.) :-)
Marie is definitely not driving now! LOL
Oooooh, can I drive that truck DP??!!?!? We were hit by someone running a red light back in 05 and I sure miss our Tundra. We ended up with a GMC Sierra, I loved that Tundra.
KaperC; That looks like a '54 Ford, am I close? I love that!
Sherry, mine is a Tacoma. The new Tacomas are about the size of the old Tundras.
Probably, DP, I just know I like it. He's always restoring something for his DW, too. She's had a Z, now has a VW bug, and they have a motorcycle with a side car, too! Quite the pair when they drive that to town for breakfast. :-)
There you go, weege...I'll answer for you ...again....we'd always had Toyota trucks also......
Sherry
ooooooohhh... Nice one! Did DH do the work on that? It's a beaut.
No we had it done, took about 10+ years but it was worth the wait. I also drive a 1972 Nova that was my mom's and I also drove at 16. Our youngest dd crashed it and we totally redid it. The interior is all original and it has air shocks in the back so I can raise it up!! "go granny go granny!!!"
If I ever have a potluck here again, I'll take you for a cruise!
Oh boy! I'll hold you to that!
Deal!
She sure is growing, Weeg! I won't be out until Fall but will be sure to get up to see her.
Weeg is that a '52 Chevy? It's hard to tell if the windshield is one piece or two in that picture.
My first pickup truck was a '52 Chevy. I was 17 and I've never gone without a pickup since. I've had many cars along the line, but have always had a pickup too. Finally I have what I've been heading towards my whole life. My "nice" car is a pickup and I still have a working pickup. LOL.
I'm there.
