My onions are bloming ?

These are purple onions I set out a month ago and many have set seeds.
Did I get some old bulbs or is this normal ?
Should I cut the flowers off ?

Your onions look fine. I wouldn't cut off anything.

I put out onions JUST to watch them flower! Pretty cool filler!
