My pet duck went into my neighbors yard and got killed by his dog. Is there anything I can do legally like make him pay for my duck and my suffering. Thankyou. I ask in this forum because the pets and poultry forum is not free.

Sorry to hear about your duck. Laws are going to be different in different areas so you'll have to find out what the laws are in your city. If the dog had come into your yard and killed your duck there, then there would be a good chance you could hold him responsible, but unfortunately since your duck went into his yard that makes it less likely that you'd be able to hold him responsible. It doesn't hurt to check your local laws though.

I am sorry to hear about your duck. I, too, am from Asheville, NC area and want to say hello and give you condolences on your loss. City and County laws are different.
