Yellowing of vegetable plants in an area of old oak soil

I have planted a vegetable garden around the remains of a dead"live oak" tree stump.Initially all went well and now all the plants are yellowing? Is there a soil deficiancy under these old oaks.What can I do to treat it if there is?
