There are 3 small plants I installed in front of a window (not sure what they're called, see photo). One is a cactus so not a problem, but the other two are outgrowing their small pots. I do not want to repot them, I bought them specifically to keep them in those pots.
Can I permanently maintain them in the small pots, and exactly how so? Thanks.
You could maybe keep them in small pots by dividing them or taking cuttings from them and growing them.
What are the plants?
We had cactus' and they grew HUGE!
I'm not sure what your "cactus" is but from what I can tell it's a succulent not a cactus--can't tell which one so I have no idea how big it'll get. The Dracaena and Schefflera are not going to be able to be kept in tiny pots like that forever, but as dipsydoodle mentioned you could do cuttings--if you start new ones on a regular basis the new plants will stay small enough for those pots for some period of time, then when it gets too big you take the plant and put it somewhere else and start some new cuttings.
Can't I simply pull the plants out and snip the roots regularly, if they are growing outside of their pots? Isn't that normally how people keep their plants from growing too large?
