I've just recently been introduced into the world of gardening and in an effort to beautify my weedy backyard, I bought a few packages of Clarke's Heavenly Blue Morning Glories and Giant White Moon Flower, wanting to sow the seeds along a wrought iron fence.
I've already started to germinate both types (moist paper towel in a tupperware container with plastic wrap) and have already seen sprouts from the Morning Glories (within the last 12 hours or so..). So excited!
How should I plant these two together so that I get the best of both worlds (blooms in the morning and at night)?
I was contemplating alternately planting a Morning Glory seed and a Moon Flower seed every 12".... Will this work? What has worked for you?

Morning Glory and Moon Flower
Beachbum: I am one who prefers a more random approach. Although I do try to look at and allow for spacing and heighth I tend to plant as nature has for millenia. I understand a lot of people prefer a formal garden. I just look at nature and see so much in the chaos that it actually is comforting. To know that so many plants and animals can exist in a totally chaotic eco system even as small as a weedy back yard it makes the chaos of the lives we live seem so routine.
I have planted different MG together.I have also planted them in separate places.Moon flower vines are much larger(the leaves and the flowers).Moon flower vines will take over and drown out MG.Therefore I like to plant them in sepatate places or at least plant them a fair distance apart.Edge
