Post your daylily blooms part 2

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

Here we go with a new thread. So many pretties, so little time (and money). LOL

Mary Todd is blooming. She is a prolific bloomer and a rebloomer. Her blooms stand out in the daylily bed.

Becky, your noid looks like it could be a seedling from a zagora cross, it is very similar. Nice one!

My lady scarlet is strutting her stuff.

Well Charene, never thought about that but now that you mention it, it does kinda look like the Zagora. I was sooo hoping for seeds on her.. but no luck... maybe next year. I am also getting into the seeds.. I think I've gone off the deep end..lol.. pretty red... pinks and reds are my favs.. but you know that....LOL

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

Maybe she's a rebloomer and she will grant you seeds on the next round.
You can always hope anyway!

I have an idea....
What if we have a daylily swap?
All who would like to participate or know more about my idea go to:

Becky I love the pink on pink. The bird poop, not so much! LOL

Buffy's doll.

aww.. come on Charlene.. she may be ugly now, but she might turn into a swan, on latter blooms..lol - without the poop..lol Sorry.. wish i could participate but since I just started getting dl's last year, mine haven't multiplied enough, but one idea for you... could you not put the dl's in a bubble envy and have it hand stamped?? way cheaper! To me ( el cheapo) I wouldn't want to pay 4.75 for 3 dls... OK.. don't whip me..lol

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

You know Beck, you are right! The most homely guys from high school seemed to have turned into the most handsome princes. There is hope.

$4.75 is too much? Okay, it was just an idea I threw out there.

Charlene

McKinney, TX(Zone 8a)

becky, You must not have ever paid for daylilies, only traded them. LOL $4.75 for 3 different daylilies is super cheap!

I have to say that I probably would not participate right now because they are almost all in bloom or bud. If we can wait until fall or earlier next spring I am in.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

I'd love to participate, but mine aren't big enough to divide and trade.

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

LOL... I knew I should have kept my big mouth shut..LOL... but do I ever?????

Stacie... nooo I am starting to be a "big boy"... I have ordered, and gotten wayyy over my head this spring with dl's..lol... but... I am CHEAP.. and love a bargain always.. and who wouldn't want say $2.00 postage over $4.75?? That equates to MORE DL"S...LOL

Charlene... you are right on the high school boys and girls for that matter.... but you know how a Momma is... hers are always the most handsome and beautiful..LOL... beauty is in the eyes of the beholder!!

Where's the pics?? I wanna see pics???

The Colony, TX(Zone 8a)

Butterscotch Ruffles - it's been a great bloomer. I have two other dl's that I got from the Cen. TX fall RU that haven't performed yet: Sammy Russell and Bold Pankin. I know I need to be patient. It will happen.

FFO on Hawaiian Nights. I planted this last spring and have been very patiently waiting for a flower. Definitely not disappointed!

I only have 3 daylilies, my first daylilies ever! And all three came from the Arlington RU this Spring. Only one has bloomed so far, given to me by Jenepat, so here she is... 'Etched in Gold' taken today. Stacey

Stephanie...what is FFO? probably a texting term, but too old to learn that! LOL! Worth waiting for that bloom.

Stacey...nice shot of your first DL!

I have got to quit planting things and saying I will tag them later. The brain is not what it thinks it is anymore. But it is a pretty NoID.

This one had a tag....it is 'Strawberry Candy'.

FFO is first flower open, which for a daylily may not be its best bloom.

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

I just love all the blooms everyone has!! I received a DL at the ETX RU, and there isn't a tag.... I was thinking maybe Pauline gave it to me, but i would really LOVE to know what it is and who gave it to me. LOVE it!!
