We are buying a house in July and the bushes along the front of the house were removed.(a good thing!) We want to put something in that won't cost too much, look attractive, and be easy to keep up with! We haven't lived here quite 3 years and aren't too familiar with native plants. Thanks in advance for any ideas.
Zone 9b "easy" landscape ideas for front yard(Florida)
I have found that Lowe's and Home Depot will carry what works for your area, at some of the best prices around. They are in the business of catering to Joe Average, and since they guarantee their shrubs for a year, they can't afford to stock anything but the most stalwart of plants for your area. They are a good jumping off point. You can then check in with some of the nursery chains in your area, and also ask you neighbors for recommendations of local independent nurseries. Ask the neighbor who has a yard you admire.
Thank you, arleene. We have a home Depot-I'll check there!
