Kaper {chuckling} do you mean "old computer" jargon or "old computer" jargon? ROFL!!!
For me it would be "old computer" jargon, having worked in the mainframe DP industry (with HUGE rooms full of 'puters and tapes weighing 20 pounds each) until 1987, shortly after that firm purchased the first desktops with Microsoft loaded (and during which time IBM was denying that there would EVER by a home computer user to consider marketing to ... HA). Before that we had "plain text" access to a mainframe computer word processor. BTW, even before that I worked on an IBM memory typewriter, and before that an IBM typewriter with memory cards as a marketing secretary.
So, I think I qualify as an "old computer" person ... which is NOT to be confused with computer savvy in this day of computers, BTW! My old brain doesn't work like the younger folks' brains do.
To keep this hummingbird related, I "flew the coop in '87," went back to college and completed 6 years of college in 4 years, resulting in a masters degree. So, I'm probably more a "feather brain" than a "computer whiz." LOL, ROFL
Linda (sometimes I just can't help but laugh at what we say to each other; we are such a humorous and kind group of peeps {hehe})
Hummingbird Adventures #9
Linda, you and I are birds of a feather...LOL!
Perhaps, Ima! But I'm not nearly as clever as you!! "Birds of a feather," indeed! ^_^
Linda
aw shucks, just carrying on with the theme you started....LOL!
That all for now.
I'm trying to reclaim my yard, and haven't had much time to take any photos the last day or two. I have to catch the sun in just the right spot, or the hummers come out like silhouettes.
BTW, I'm a recycled computer person. I was learning how to use the computer before the car accident in '05, I've had to relearn, or learn how to do everything all over again. Some things like MS Publisher, I was quite proficient at using, I can't figure out now. My brain was short circuited. I find that repetition helps.
One last photo for today. Say Good Night, Zoom!

SW
ima, you got one! One with color!
You go girl! ^_^
I keep trying for different angles and as the season changes so does the light. It is always best to have the light behind you. I am so glad that I had those two antique bird cage holders to transform into feeders. They are movable and they are easy for short little me to reach easily to care for them.
Some days are easier than others. The gh seems to be a good place for the feeders. Easier because of the wind, painters, kids, critters. They have become quite adroit at flying through the vent openings. At least the black chinned hummers do.
I think ducs, hummers are friendlier than mine. Or maybe mine are busy raising babies. Hmmm.
Say where you kinda chittered at whilst being serenaded today?
WIB!

Yo, SW, Zoom was sticking his tongue out at you when you told him to say g'night. You go, guy! He must be taking lessons from your workers, huh?
G'night,
Linda ^_^
