'LS Mom' for those not "in the know" anything hosta that starts with "LS" is for 'Lakeside' which are a whole bunch of great hosta from hosta hybridizer Mary Chastian of Lakeside Hostas!

'Embroidery' Yep, this is supposed to look "mangled." This is my 3rd year with it, and it takes forever to do anything. I didn't realize it was such a slow grower, it hasn't fully "unfurled" yet...but it continues to look this contorted throughout the season!

'One Man's Treasure'...Many hosta hybridizers are concentrating on red petioles in their breeding programs. This is to give you a glimpse of what all the rage is about. This is an older "red socks" hosta, but you can see from the red speckles following up the petiole and on to the leaf what the potential for introducing red into hosta can mean! Exciting stuff from a total hosta nerd aspect :-)

'First Frost'...I didn't know what all the fuss was about this newer hosta, I received it late in the season last year...But WOWZERS. The aquamarine blue that is the center of this leaf, and the popping yellow edge is stunning, truly a stand out in this bed. I didn't intentionally plant it smack dab in the middle of 'Sweet Kate' spiderwart but what a combo! 'First Frost' was a slight "splurge" last year, and it is probably one of my most recommended newer hosta!!!

Hosta break...Here is the generic 'Purple' Tree Peony that I picked up last year at our RU at Well Sweep Herb Farm! The buds were on this for what seemed like forever, then it just blew open! Smells really sweet too!

Just a quick hello!!

Everyone is looking so good! lots of things to want and envy!

Here are a couple quick shots! Not much going on here yet flower-wise. The honeysuckle are all flowering.

Here is a shot of Britt Marie in the back and some NOID peony next to Black Barlow about ready to bloom. Not sure how those iris ended up in there, but they are yellow pond iris.

I should get some seeds from Stormy's White Barlow!! Bet they look get next to each other.
