Garden Photos of '09.....#21

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

Acouple of times I've had something cut them a couple of inches from the ground. I'm thinking rabbits.
Victor, any favorites you think I might try?

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Oh, you are very lucky then, Victor. I wish I would stop getting it. Maybe I will call the local extension office and see if they can help me with a remedy for that. So far I have not had that problem on the 'Guernsey Cream' one. I have read that the large flowered clems are most susceptible to it.

Karen

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes, I would do that, Karen. I do remember Debbie (Silver Star) telling me once that what many think is wilt is actually something else, but I don't remember what!

Jumper - what color is the rose?

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

Jen I love that Ruby Port... I don't think your snapdragon is one... the leaves usually don't look like that.. unless it's something I haven't seen... but I have been growing them for years and never saw one that looked like that... maybe something close to it?

southern willamette , OR(Zone 7a)

Thanks Victor....and gorgeous shots! I love clem niobe. It always looks so regal! It's fun watching the Allium! You can't possibly ID 100% of everything... but if anybody could, it'd be you.

Jumper.... I love the Iris Indian Doll. In fact I think that you may have just ID'ed a noid of mine.

Jen... the Ruby port is very pretty.

Everyones Alliums are way ahead of most of mine.

Thanks Allison! Both of those flowers belong to the same plant! that's part of what makes it my favorite! Hopefully I'll get a good picture of the whole plant tomorrow.

Some more from this past weekend.

I'm actually ok with this bed, minus some weeding and dividing.

Check out the size of this flower!!! for comparison... the leaves in the background are standard sizes large leaves for a Rhody.

Thanks Shelly. Beautiful rhody. Nice heuchera, Jo Ann. Did you plant the Corallinum yet? Make extra sure the site is very well-drained and protected from PM sun. It's a fussy one and the one I recently got from that 'co-op' has apparently failed, despite my best efforts.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I'll take a pix.be back soon
Gets AM sun and bright shade all day except late afternoon.

The tree peony is lovely. as is the heurchera. I think that I want that one now!.

Very pretty pretties Robin!

Schicken.... Why not just trim the flower stalks of the fescue off? if that's the issue.

RC I am going to rip them outta the ground! Just another dumb stupid move and more to happen
