Hi,
I live in a basement apt. not very good direct sunlight, i have a few plants on the window ledges but otherwise nothing seems to grow
is there any good plants that would work for me?
some good plants for low lighting?
Chinese evergreen, sansevieria, aspidistra (although it gets quite tall) are a few
Snake plant(mother-in-law tongue) also has worked well for me.
That's sansevieria.
Any variety of dracaena, spider plant, I have a fittonia in low light conditions. It's doing fine, ok it grows slightly slower but it's fine.
I don't know what else other than what people have already suggested.
I've done well with a Coffee Plant, Poinsettia (Get them at Christmas time) and Bamboo. I have full spectrum fluorescent lighting though, so I'm not sure how well they'd work in your basement.
