Want to Start a Veggie Garden, NEED help- FIRST TIME

Hello,
I want to start a vetaable garden. I am in Zone 7.. im thinking to start like a 3x3 garden with a few of my favorite veggies.. id like Onions, Spinach, Peppers, Carrots,ect and maybe start some herbs indoors.. can anyone give me advice on the list of things ill need?? and once planted.. how long till harvest time?

Good deal. I'm so anxious for fall, I'm ready to go outside and start doing some kinda voodoo dance (I'm from New Orleans, don't cha' know!)

September 1 is my targeted plant out date. I'm getting all my eBuckets, containers, and EBs spiffed up and ready. Got some seeds on the way (maters). Still got to order seeds for my cole crop.

Keep in touch when you plant your seeds. This'll be my first time growing them from seeds too, so we can compare notes!

Thanks for the advice about my tomato. I have a habit of watering too much. Also my tomato plant is in a container.
