Is bronzita sedge carex a perennial.I planted some last fall and it was a nice bronze color. I left it in the ground> over the Iowa winter zone 5 . I had used quite a bit of mulch> around it to help. The grass has lost its bronze color but> still looks alive. Will it get bronze color again this> fall? Or has it died?>

Plant Files says it's hardy to zone 4...doesn't necessarily mean it's still alive since there are other things that can happen to plants besides cold damage, but at least it's got a good chance.
