This afternoon everything looked perfectly fine. I went out for half an hour and when I came home all but 2 of my 12 cucumber and squash seedlings were leaning over. I know I haven't read anything about this yet, lol. Would like to hear your thoughts. Too much sun, water or maybe they're getting too tall? Help! =)
Cucumber / Crooked neck squash seelings leaning over!
Well, I moved them out of the sun and gave some water and they've recovered. Any clue what caused this?
And only a few hours after... my cat decided he liked baby squash plants and ate almost all of them!!! =(
oh dang~ the cat got the squash? Get that kitty something to eat!
Are they used to being out in the sun? Water is often an issue, but combination of sun and not enough water can do it. Sometimes my garden all looks "wilty" in the late afternoon but recover when it cools off, and I'm not sure it's a problem. I confess I do water the next morning...
