I have 2 of these trees growing in my back yard. They appeared a couple of years ago - and I can only assume that a seed was left by a squirrel or bird. I like them - but I would really like to know what kind of tree it is - Anyone???

It's an Aesculus of some kind - since you're out west, I'd guess it's a horse chestnut, but some kind of buckeye is a possibility.
Thank you - it is a horse chestnut - I found a website that helped me identify it shortly after I posted this thread - but thank you for confirming it. Apparently they are not native to my area - Washington State - and they grow quite large - I will have to re-think where to relocate them to.
