Hi,
I have a large dull lawn in front of my house roughly 90 feet long x 70 feet wide. There is nothing on it or between my house and the street. I'd like to do something in the form of landsacaping to make my lawn more interesting and appealing. Trees are out since my spectc field is under my lawn. Any ideas??? Is there anything I can plant or do that won't affect the spectic field? I live in eastern Canada.
ideas for lawn landscaping
You should be able to plant annuals and perennials--their roots shouldn't get deep enough to cause problems with the septic. You might also consider some hardscaping--paths, patios, arbors, etc to add some interest, if you put in some of that with some colorful annuals & perennials around it, I think it'll go a long way to making things more interesting.
For height, you could add some trellises with climbing roses, clematis or other vines. Can you post a picture of your house and yard? That would really help us come up with ideas.
I will post a picture later but should also add that I'm in a windy loaction and take SW wind directly on front of the house.
