Radish Problems

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

I harvested some radishes this evening, but there's something wrong with some of them. Any idea what caused this? These are Cherry Belles.

They taste fine, just don't look great.

I have no idea sorry. I was going to say if they taste fine then that is good enough but I don't know the answer to your question. My suggestion was that some foods just don't grow to the same shape/size/texture as others and maybe it's simply that which is having an effect but I honestly don't know. Sorry!

Stephanie...

Are you referring to the bumps on the radishes ?? ....I see that you live in Ft Worth....I live over by Denton... maybe it's due to all of the rain / humidity we've been getting lately..??... dunno....just an idea.

That's what I'm talking about, those bumps. It's very strange. They taste fine, look fine on the tops, but when I pull some they've got these bumps on them. I was wondering if weather might be the culprit or ants. I have them everywhere!

I know where Pilot Point is! I had a college roommate from PP.
