Looks the same on the inside too, except your guy is younger and Jily is smaller than Dex ^_^

Yonkers, NY(Zone 5b)

Here's today's shot.
It's taking shape, but there's a lot to do.

It's looking great Nancy. Would love to see it in a month.

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Ditto to what Weeze said.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

they are filling in quick!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I love watching Nancy's plants transform into a jungle! It's about the best time lapse episode i've ever seen!! I can't wait!!!!!!!!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I agree. One pic per day would be great.

Going left from the last photo vantage point - toward the back of the garden.

Back - I'll be ripping out that crappy edging.

Continuing around and now looking back toward the house.

Continuing...

Going back up - eventually I'll smooth out those funky bed lines that my 'landscapers' (mowers) cut out.

Bed I will be enlarging - where the Norway maple used to be. There is already a paperbark maple planted there. I will probably put a number of the FW plants in there. The shed is my neighbor's.

Side bed. That is JM Shigitatsu sawa.

More of the side bed. You can see the grass that has jumped into the bed which needs to be removed. A nice sharp edge is needed. I have to remove all the dumb river rocks that outlibe all my beds. Horrible mistake. But I was young and impressionable...

That's the Golden Shadows dogwood jumping out.

Following the property line to the street. That's V. Shasta and V. Mariesii covered in white.

Last for now - the bed in front of my LR.

I'll try to get more from the other side when I get the chance. Hope you enjoyed the mini-tour.

WOW!!
Very impressive, Victor!
Man... If I went out there I'd get lost. Maybe you'd find me curled up on the bench.
LOL!

Rhinebeck, NY(Zone 5b)

Victor and everyone, I love these "long view" pix.

One "work in progress" that I'm pretty happy about is the new tree peony garden that I've planted in 2 separate beds down by the little pond. You'll see a bunch of downed limbs around the pond ... the remaining damage from a horrible ice storm last winter that we're still cleaning up from.

Anyway, this is Spring Number Two in the tree peony garden. I plan to expand this a bit ... and my DH just gave me a gorgeous new " Snow Lotus" peony that is supposed to grow to 5' tall for our 30th wedding anniversary. It's not in yet ... I have to pick it up from the grower.

This is the left "half"

Very nice, Daisy. I have no luck with tree peonies.

Found a booboo. The post that starts 'Going back up', repeated an earlier photo. Should be this one. Sorry.

Nice pooch!

Thanks, Nancy!

Rockport, ME(Zone 5b)

Amazing properties. The less grass the better. I love the nooks and crannies that everyone creates, that just makes it! This is my funky 1950's BBQ pit that dominates my back yard. It was made by the previous owner's son, who's now in his 70's, so it's kind of neat. I'm trying to clean up all the not so pretty stuff that they planted around it.

Great spot, storm! I love it.

Rockport, ME(Zone 5b)

The new area that I just created with my cardboard and compost method, along with my lovely ledge that I found. There was a rock sticking up that was getting in the way of my mower, so I decided to see if I could did it out and get it out of the way. It turned out to be part of the mountain of granite that my house is apparently sitting on. I'm going to try to make a waterfall effect somehow.

wow oh wow!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Just lovely Victor, a work of love and sweat to be sure!

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

so that is the famous 1/4 acre victor? hard to believe - what special lens do you use to give the illusion of multiple acres?

Looks great!!

still spreading mulch here although the front driveway is done and will try and get some shots tomorrow.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Victor...I see some grass!!!
Very nice Daisy.
I love that patio, Drumlin.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks!

Essex Junction, VT(Zone 4a)

I don't understand how that is .25 acre, Victor. Is that not including the house?? I have a .25 acre lot (maybe a tad smaller) and no way I could fit some of those trees, and definitely not that wide of beds next to your house!! (I have 10' and 11' on sides of my houses, then 20-25' to the sidewalk out front...the back is larger....oh, maybe because I own part down the "hill" and that is protected woodland...maybe that's the "missing" acreage you have).

Will have to take new pics to show you guys the latest, though maybe in a couple weeks since I'm not "leafed" out as much as you guys.

And I too love seeing beds and such...gets the ideas flowing!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

No, it's mot 1/4 acre. It's actually about 0.6 acres, including the house and pool.
