I am going to throw down some Plant Tone just to get the soil going. So My question is, if I put down plant tone on my garden can I still use Miracle Gro like I normally would (every two weeks).

You can use Plant Tone at the prescribed quantities for your entire season and it will improve the soil due to the beneficial microorganisms present. With good soil and organic fertilizer, you'll attract earthworms and other beneficial critters. I use Garden Tone, Tomato Tone, and/or MicroLife and apply it at planting time (mixing it well down into the soil) and then re-apply in about 4 weeks just scattering it on the surface.

Miracle Gro doesn't improve soil, it just feeds the plants directly.
