LOL.......Let me look at the funds,I've got a wedding and 2 graduations this month......yuck! I'd rather have fun.I have been looking at it over and over.

What makes me mad is the price postage...and then they play football,soccer or hockey (whatever sport they are into) with the boxes.

Do an I.O.U for the wedding.. :D

I am doing a happy dance here... I was out in the drive way taking the deck off the mower so I can find a way to get it up to the repair shop... it's heavy.
So, the lawn guys show up at my neighbor's house, and I waved the driver down (figured he was the boss man)... I asked him to give me a bid on mowing, weed eating, and blowing my yard... then, I bout had to change my panties when he told me.
Don told me the other day that it would cost $200 to hire it done. There's a lot to it, about an acre, and lots of beds and walls to weed eat. Takes me and Don about 4-5 hours together to get it all done at once. Takes me about 3 days by myself, cause I can't hold up a full day, I break it up into areas. Then, by the time I'm done... it's almost time to start all over again.

Well, this guy gave me a bid of $45.00... CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?

AND... He said he would be able to get to it before dark... had customers ahead of me. DUH... like that's a problem !!!

I just know that Don will let me hire this guy every week this summer...

BJ you grab that lawn care man and keep him! That is a fabulous price. Just hope he does a good job. Happy dance, happy dance!!!

I'll check out the route to TX. I did look at Nashville but it only seemed like a100 miles difference and we can stay free in St. Louis and see my 101 yr old Dad to boot.

Well, i am flying! I was going to ride with Stacey and Janice, but when I was talking to Steve about the plans, he suggested that I just fly.
I really appreciated riding with you ladies, but with my road teeror, it is just better for me to fly. Less travel time and I will be alright, I think.
Unless i get dylexia and end up in Autralia or something, lolol.

You all have no idea the fear I have...it's me. I can drive, but I am really a very bad passanger.
When I was about 6 my good friend fell out of a van, was before they had saftey locks! Then I have been in several car accidents on the highway, one which included a head on...OMG, I am really luckty to be alive after all of those. And once I almost went through the windshield. So, I am just insanely terrified of roads, Not to mention, My beloved Sister Carol "Bear" was killed instantly on a highway, it was only 3 years ago, she was ripped from my life, that pretty much sealed my terror...I hope you understand it's me. LOL, my Family puts me in the back seat with plenty to do and look at besides the road, heavy sigh.

So, Judy... Does Don need to bring a coloring book to keep you occupied on the trip from the airport? LOL

Mom does drive like a little old lady now-love her, but it's true-there is no way she can drive the whol.e way, and I;m not even sure about the 6.5 hrs form here to Gpas-I can drive 5 w/o a problem, so I guess there will be a fight on-I will have to get DH to speak with her on this matter;)

LOL, BJ...I already bought a book for the trip and I also will be bringing some embroidery.

Kim is busy trying to finish a cake order for a birthday party--volcano no less--and tomorrow is the dance recital. LOL Leave it to me to come home from the golf course with a mouse and five babies...LOL They were nesting in my sons golf bag and plop they went to the basket of the golf cart...LOL I could not leave them as the mother could not make a nest so they are now in my living room all nice and tucked in a plastic tub with a lid until they can fend for themselves...LOL They are so cute.... She is a good mother as all 5 were stuck to her and she did not leave... I could not leave her for snake food... :-(
I hope all of you have a wonderful Mothers Day... I am hoping to get back on before then but just in case I don't... As I am a new GM of mice...LOL

WHoooHOoooooo Got a new refrigerator!!!! The maintenance guys came in, looked at it, and had a new one in less than an hour!!! The old one has been here since the early 80's .Bad news is they won't pay for an ice maker....I'm going to have to come with that one my own before the warm weather gets here....the other good thing was when they were under the sink to disconnect the water to the old ice maker they discovered a slight leak down the back wall that we didn't realize was there so that got taken care of at the same time....Now maybe I can get my house back together!

Jaye, I would have headed to the shop with a big stick!!

Guess I am lucky I have such a small yard.....Larry charges me $5 a week to mow and Antonio does the major weeding for $15 and hour.....might take him two hours if it is Really Bad!!

BJ, that's the going rate now around here. Used to be $150 for an acre.. imagine that.. a poor county. But this year, it has been very competitive since many local businesses chose to ask one of their own employees to oversee the yard work. So, my MIL is paying that low rate for her one acre. Unfortunately for me, my yard's complex, and it will be more.. like a $100 and no weeding... Kel has to do that.

Oh Judy.. I would have certainly find something to knock you out if you were my passenger. Lolol.. wise move sistah!! At least you're not terrified of flying!

Maid M.. you're my kinda gal. I'm a pretty cautious driver, but like to get to my destination in quick... sub-legal time!! Back in Louisiana, I'd have all my speeding fines fixed;
Luckily.. or not so luckily.. I can't do much driving here on account of my poor feet.. good thing.. as Kel don't know anyone that would 'fix' any speeding tickets here.

Don't ask Don how fast I was going on our trip home from Tampa... he'll lie and say I was doing 85... I was NOT... the speedometer said 90...
It was an open road, and no traffic all the way to Shreveport... looked a lot like the autobahn to me... of course, I did slow down once I crossed the Texas state line.

MICE? How cute!!! so, when they're grown, what are you going to do with them?... are they going to be pets?

Well... those guys did a knock out job on my yard... in only 2 hours. I had to call and tell Don that they did a better job than he and I together can do in any 2 hours. He agreed that his time is worth more than what we paid them... so, I guess I got a lawn service for the summer... YIPPIE... I do feel rich now... sheesh...

Am I the only one that has one particular flower bed that is the hardest one to keep weeded? I treat this one bed like a step child... it's the last one that ever gets anything done to it. I love the things I have growing in it, I just hate to work in it. IT"S AWFUL now... I'll never get it cleaned out.
I know... ranting about it isn't going to get it done.

Another thing... I"M Through with seeds... I'm buying healthy plants in 4" pots from now on... sheesh... I've got huge herbs that I bought in pots... and the ones I planted from seeds are either scrawny, or non existent.
Sorry... another rant.

Getting more and more excited about the Texas trip. Stacey and Janice, you absolutely have to swing by here on your drive by. You are heading south on 75, right? Our driveway is one mile from 75, once you turn off the ramp, no turns until you turn in at our place. Plus.....I bet you'd much rather use our potty than a service station or restaurant! If it's lunchtime, I'll even feed you! Please??????????

I have a new DIL and a new grandbaby. Not sure if I posted that or not. Anyway, all are well and happy.

Dad had his knee surgery on Thursday, and even though his heart beat went a little irregular (it does that sometimes) all went well for that, too.

Looks like all the family will be here tomorrow for Mother's Day, as well as my Brother and SIL. Burgers and Hotdogs are the menu items. (I had typed dogs, but that didn't sound right....LOL)

Robyn, sorry I missed saying Happy Birthday on your special day. It's been pretty crazy around here.
