tee hee, he makes the better model, and I don't ,,,,,,,hummmm,,,,,wonder if one of those boys of mine would model it for me? lol,,,,I'll wager that one of them would do just that. lol

Morning,
What a bad night I had. I couldn't go to sleep. Went to bed at 10, back up at 12, watched tv, back to bed, toss and turn. Finally fell asleep at 4 am, then Bear stuck his cold wet nose on me. Got up, now I'm packing and just waiting for the mail to come.
BJ, I saw online at SS, they started issuing the $250 checks yesterday. Also the cannas you gave me are about 12" tall, will it hurt to dig them up and replant them now?
I've got alot of plants to dig up some are just starting to peek out of the ground. I'm hoping I can dig deep and wide enough so that they will still bloom when I replant them.
OH WOW, it's a BEAUTY. I still have 3 or 4 that haven't even got buds yet. Will it hurt them to be dug up now or should I wait until August? The ones that are done blooming , that is?
Good morning all. BJ, we must be on the same wave length lately as I was talking with Kim last night about when Deborah and I should leave. Definitely decided it should be Thursday so as not to be rushed and to avoid some of the heavier weekend traffic on Friday. Suggestions on route? I looked it up and there seems to be so many twist and turns--they do that sometimes on the map sites.
Loving all the modeling of the pjs and aprons. Wow! What a group!
Just checking in to say hello as I am off to the "big" city to do some errands and the most important thing: the roses for the ballerinas!! Must have those for tomorrow.
Need to find some chocolate nuggets for the cake Kim will be decorating tonight--lava rocks to be Geez what kids today want for birthday cakes! Such imaginations.
Will check in later so have fun or alteast try to if you are having to work.
Thanks for breakfast Phyllis. Yeap, never, never will I ever cook a roast any other way. Just feel down right stupid I took so long to try it. Oh well, you know what they say about teaching old dogs new tricks. LOL
Hummmm, Stacey,,,let me see what I can do there. lol,,,I think all my clay pots are painted though,,,lol,,,maybe a bowl??? lol
Cindy try to have a good day, and think happy thoughts while packing. Think how you used to be and dwell on being that person again,,,,not someone that somebody thinks you should be. It will make packing easier.
gals I must get back to my sewing. A lady has ordered 5 men's vests for the confederacy meet, and I have been dragging my feet on them. So a sewing I will go. will check back in sometime tonight.
You all have a gggGGGRREAT day!
Good morning sistahs and nieces ^_^
He he he.. I know you're teasing us Phyllis, but it would be a hoot if you'd paint Kel's toe nails. Might need more than a bottle!! He does look good in red! Thanks for breakfast, it's about time!!!!
Maid M., that's one thing that helped me out more than my ex when I was working 12 hours a day... the crockpot. Queen of crockpot cooking here.. for roast beef, I'd all a l'il soysauce.
YES, I'm glad that Deborah will keep you company.
Stacey, what keeps me awake during long drives was chewing on ice cubes. Drinking too much coffee puts too much pressure on my bladder.
Hey, I like Jive!
You must feel so lonely right now Cindy.. going through the moving process by yourself. Truly wish one of us or Sissy is there to help you.
Marilyn, I can't believe it got to you before Mother's Day!!! I hope you like the side pockets too. Not an expert sewer like you, and hope you overlook the flaws! Happy Apron Wearing!!!
I like both of those. I was looking online at Snow Peak some of the new ones. WOW, I want to buy some. And I will too! I had alot of things swirling around in my head last night. I had realized that by living with my mom, I will be able to save up money to get me a good size greenhouse. My mom loves to garden, hates house work. My dad would do the house work while mom did the yard work. Dad loved to "prune" things, more like "butcher" so mom said no more. He killed the most beautiful yellow rose bush and mom was so mad at him. I remember when I was a kid we had a grape arbor that was so awesome. I'm thinking it was probably 20' x 20' and covered with Concord grapes.
It's is going to take me a long time to get everything out of here. Motorhome, boat, jeep, all my plants and fish. Then inside OMG!!!! Kitchen, craft room and some things around other parts of the house. Thank God for all those boxes I've been hanging on to. The thing that breaks my heart the most is having to leave Bear behind. He is such an awesome dog and Rick is so mean to him sometimes makes me mad.
Marion... I just pulled up a Yahoo map from Havana to Tool, TX... looks like right at 800 miles, or about a 13 hr drive. Take I10 to Lafayette, LA, turn north on 47 to Shreveport, turn west on I20 to Kilgore, TX, then southwest on 31... you'll go through Tyler, and stay on 31... you'll pass through Chandler, and about 2 miles from Phyllis' house... but don't stop there, she'll probably be here... keep going. You'll go through a couple small towns, then Athens, then Malakoff, then you'll come to a wide place in the road called Trinidad... turn north on 274, go about 10 miles... then call me... I'll meet you at the corner and lead you from there.
Looks like Lafayette might be about half way, but if you can make it to Shreveport the first day, you'll get here earlier on Friday.
Oh thank you! Gettting flutterbys now!!!
YW... now, don't let those flutterbys cause you to back out... I'm looking way to forward to see you.
Stacey... looks like about an 800 mile trip for you too... want me to send you a map?
no thanks -I know how yahoo maps works;)LOL
Well Tink are you saying your old auntie doesn't? LOL I have googled it several times but always come up with something different. duh. maybe I am old after all!!!
LOL-I have traveled all over with yahoo maps, so I am good to go;) Got me to and from Betty's and from CA to here and from AZ to CA.....
Well Maid M.. you've tackled the Crock Pot.. Yahoo Map should be a breeze to follow!
Lafayette, La. has great Cajun food Maid M. Used to live there for 3 years.
Afternoon Everyone,
I love the pictures of the outside plants...So pretty.. I grow plumerias and I just found that one has a seed pod... Pretty cool for me...
Well we went to the bank last week to open a new checking account.. We got back almost 1,600.00 dollars back.. Well I asked hubby last night where was all the money as I know he/we put some of it on the frig in a clip... Well there is maybe 350.00 there... We did use this money durning the week but no where near the amount we are missing... He says I put some away I said oh no I did not... So the problem is Where is the money???? I have looked and looked and we can't find it.... So if anyone finds my money can you let me know.... I know I am brain dead but this beats all...LOLOL Also told Kevin/hubby HE is also to blame not just me....LOLOL He also has a rude awakening coming because as of this month I am not doing the bills he is... I am tired of doing it and he can now do it.... Guess I sound mean huh?
Well going to look for some money LOL
Hugs to All,
Susan
Yep, you're right, Jaye... Don and I stopped in Lafayette for dinner on our drive home... then drove to Shreveport after dinner to spend the night. Dinner was wonderfully cajun... and we slept like babies.
I didn't think you needed my help, dear Fairy Brain... just thought I'd offer.
Darn, Darn, Darn... I just got on the riding mower to knock some weeds down, and it broke... one of the pulleys is fried on the deck. Just had to put the weed eater in the shop last week, and don't expect to get it back till next week... maybe later. I left a message for Don to call me... thinking about hiring the lawn done this once... it's getting out of hand... that's what I get for fertilizing, huh? I'm almost tempted to get the edger out and trying that... but with my luck lately, it'll break too. UGH !!!
Last month was "flat tire month"... almost everything we have had at least one flat tire... still messing with one tire we can't seem to fix right on the riding mower.
My mower is also not in working order yet... We have it back but hubby has to repaint it and it has been raining so I am hoping for today... We have to much to push mow... I hope you get your things fixed soon and I know how it feels to be without my yard tools... I love to mow even if it kills my body....
Hugs,
susan
BJ, I am telling you we need to have a pow wow as our tires have been going flat also... I still have one more to fix...LOL
Hugs,
Susan
Yikes, you all moved again!!

Jaye.i love the picture. It is cute.
Thanks Betty.
Barb... since it's out in the open, I've added him to this sistahood prayer list.
((((((((((((((((((((((Barb)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
We love you, and will pray that Lord heals him completely. I've already called my prayer warriors and you can bet, I'll bring up his name in Church, Sunday.
Ladies,
Hope you all have a wonderful Mother's Day. I will chat with you Monday ( if I can find you) lol. I know how fast these rooms change.
Talk about excitement!!!
I tried calling Kel at the shop, and he didn't answer. On the 3rd try, a woman answered the phone. I didn't recognise the voice, so I thought maybe the phone number had been 'hijacked' by a competitor. Until I asked where's Kel and she replied, he was on a service call. We never do service calls.. so I was pretty surprised and asked her who she was.
When she replied that she's his secretary.. that's when I knew something's wrong, and when I said that I'm his wife.. she hung up on me!
Of course, I walked over to the shop and here comes Kel running to explain.. at the same time, I see smoke coming out of a red Jeep's exhaust leaving the premises.
His ex wife who had left him for 17 years had came to the shop telling him she wanted him back!! When told that we've been together for 7 years now, she wanted to know whether we're happy!! Then before he could tell her anything else, customers started to come in, and that's when she picked up the phone.
17 years!! Ain't that 16 years too late??? Lolol...
Jaye,you go girlfriend.
OMG, What nerve!
Hope kel gave her what for on that!
Ummm... No, Jaye... that's about 17 years too late...
I too hope Kel gave her an ear full... sheesh.
BJ, you are absolutely right!!!!
Judy, my MIL told me that she has kids too.
If she ever dare to show up at MY front door... you can bet a bunch of Chinese cuss words will be flying out at her!!
Then I'll threaten her with voodooo... then I'll call the cops on her... but not before I hand her a bible...
then I'll apologize to the Lord :D
Whew... what drama... I sure don't need this.
Poor Kel, when he returns I won't say not a word. See what he says..
I have so much to get done before I leave for BJ's! I need to stay chained to the sewing machine.
Stacey and I should leave her house on Thursday and stay the night at the retirement center where my Dad lives in St. Louis. That is about 500 miles. We'll have breakfast with Dad and the "breakfast club" at the Center and then hit the road. Total trip is 1156 miles! Stay with Dad on the return so I will be able to be there for my birthday.
We'll see how the driving works. I have always driven everywhere. My husband and I used to race cars, with me doing the driving, so it came naturally. Stacey, however, seems to think I drive like a little old lady (LOL) so we will both have to get used to being in what they used to call "the suicide seat". I tend to wilt in the afternoon so I guess I will start out and let her take the afternoon shift.
I am wondering if we want to drive on Memorial Day itself or wait until Tuesday to leave? Have to think about that one.
What's the temps like there in Texas, BJ. Trying to think of clothes and packing and ....wow, I better get back to the sewing machine or I wont get everything done before I go.
Well, Janice... at the moment it's 85* and humid as all get out... can't stand to be outside more than a half hour before drying off. Think SUMMER when you pack. Nights should still be cool then... but the days will cook you. I have LOTS of sunscreen.
WOW... St Louis adds about 500 miles to your trip... going through Nashville it's only about 800 miles.
You're welcome to stay till Tuesday... some others are too, and we can help you celebrate your birthday.
Jaye.......you just blew me away.!!! I'll tell you what I'd have to hunt that woman(I'm being nice) down and punch her in the face. How dare she. Here in the Hicks, us Rednecks get physical over someone tryin to get to our men........LOL.And I worked at the Sheriffs Office......if it is just the 2 of you ,it's her word against yours,a slap on the hand saying ,now girls play nice. And one thing about my family,we might fight and argue amongst ourselves, but you try and hurt one of us we come in packs ,like wolves.......LOL.
And see what a darlin Kel is.....he told you what was up.
You would be playing it safe if you could avoid not driving on Mem. Day, Janice.
So, Judy, are those plane tickets or train tickets?
I still haven't found a sitter yet! We have a dog with special needs, Lola and 3 cats in the house that need a sitter. It's already in the 90's here and that sitter will have to water the plants too.
Wish me luck! It should be easy to find someone if we pay well, right?
Synda!!!!!
Physical???? LOLOL.. Cody said the same thing!! Wait, I am Asian-Cajun-Redneck!!
I promise, if she does show up, I'll just slap her with the garden hose.. how about that???
That sounds good.....
