Good morning!
LK, me too love that rooster. Hope you don't mind it stays here for a while. AND yes, that's crazy.. mighty nice of them to charge you 1,200!!
Synda, hope your mum's better today.
Raining hard right now, and my head's about to explode!!! Hate being this way now since I have the desire to work.............. bummer.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Morning Jaye,

You need to put a kettle of Eucalyptus to simmer. It will help open up your sinus and get rid of the headache.

There is a person wanting to do a daffodil swap. Here's the link

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Hello Jaye and Synda and everyone. Hope your day is going to be a good one. I love that rooster too. Just wanted to drop in for a greeting, will then be on my way.
Kim

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Hmm.. don't think I can find fresh eucalyptus here Cindy.

♫♪♫ Happy Birthday Robin!! ♫♪♫

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

It doesn't have to be fresh. An oil will work too.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Thank you so much for dropping in Kim. Gosh.. wish you'd stay for a spell, but please do frequent yourself here. Always happy to see you.
Hope all's well with you!

We're off.. gonna get some more packets of saline rinses. See me later everyone.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Good, I'll get the oil then Cindy.
Thank you so much, our resident herbalist! Love ya!

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Okay, I'll stay now that we share the same ailment, and all can use help from our resident herbalist. lol. What do we do with itchy eyes, postnasal drips, sniff sniff. lol.
Jaye, everything is a okay my way. Thanks for asking.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Darn, Jaye... I hate it when that happens... hope your headache goes away quickly.

I had such a hard time staying on task yesterday... Started out to clean the sun porch... mostly it's just pick up and put away all the stuff we've worked on lately, and never cleaned up after ourselves. So, I gathered up a box of stuff that belonged out in the shop... took it to the shop, and on the way back saw some weeds that needed pulling... then saw a pile of rocks that never got taken to the rock pile... then I saw limbs that needed taken to the burn pile...
Now, where was I? Oh, yea... back to the sun porch.
Took the life jackets back down to the dock box, and saw that some styrofoam had floated up in the channel... got the net, and fished it out. Oh, aren't those little turtles cute climbing on the neighbor's rocks? Got the camera, but they were gone before I got back out there.
Back to the sun porch.
Gathering up the garden tools to take to the other side of the porch and spotted something yellow in the garden. Had to go check it out... was a bloom on the zucchini. Look at all those weeds by the cukes!!! I'll just take care of that before I go back in. Darn dog dug another hole, kicked the dirt back in.
The phone rang... long conversation with Don.
Now, where was I again?
Oh, yea... grabbed the bag of zinnia leavings (I just know there's still some seeds in there) on the counter, took them across the street and scattered them in the ditch... maybe something will come up. Darn, more weeds that have to go by that tree.

Before I knew it, it was time for Mike to come home, and I didn't even have dinner started...

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Whew, BJ, you make me tired just reading what you have done! Funny how we get sidetracked all the time? Sounds like your trying to do too and your mind is just clicking away 90 miles a minute?
LK

Fostoria, OH(Zone 5a)

Welcome to my day, BJ! Add to that my ability to go into a room for something and then completely forget what that something was!!

But I can't complain; today is my "Friday" and then I will be home for four blessed days. I have sewing and gardening to do and am looking forward to just being able to "do my thing". Haven't heard from any of my kids for Mother's Day but since my birthday is so close too they usually combine the two. Wonder what they will do when they find out I'm at your place on Memorial Day weekend?

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Well... LK... it sounds like more than I feel like I got done yesterday. Was way too scattered, and didn't complete anything...
Hardly made any headway on the sun porch... so, today I'll play catch up... maybe.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Good luck!
Does anyone here have a completed job list. I think it just keeps getting longer, and longer! LOL

Lancaster, OH(Zone 6a)

Good morning Ladies

Dropping in while the internet is working momentarily....
We are in th enew house and unpacking ( still have the downstair to do) but the upstairs is comming tgether nicely. I will try to get pictures and go to the library later so I can post them. We have a bad seed neighbor aross the street that is a bit annoying but everyone else so far seems very nice in the area.

It rained all day yesterday and I was stuck inside .. Hoping today I can get out and o just alittle something in the flower beds. They need some major help and we were only able to fit a few things in the tuck so I will be hitting freecycle (nieghbor recommended it for free plants) and borrowing a shovel from the in-laws... lol It looks like I have a few small hosta in one bed along with 2 boxwoods (babys) in the front bed.. BORING.. LOL
Out back we have wild strawberries and mulberry trees along with little round stepping stones to the back gate.. I have lots of ideas but have to get the house in order first...

Tristen started school today and was soo excited she was bouncing off the walls. Tony is awaiting his schedule and will more than likely start tomorrow morning.. Max is headed to the temporary staffing agency today for work and Im still awaiting my liscense transfer so I can get started..

I did get the address updated on the exchange and the phone number has been changed but will try to call one of you with our new number... Or you can mail me and I will send it to you when I am able to get online again..

Well Better get running
Huggs
Donna & Family

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

LOL, BJ that sounds like an email I'm sure everyone has seen it. Where the lady starts on one thing then see something else on and on.

Kim,
Eyebright (Euphrasia officinalis) is good for eye inflammations. It ccan be used internall or externally.

Internally: Make an infusinon with 1/2 ounce of dried leaves in 1 pint o water, or buy capsules from health food store.

Externally: Steep 5 teaspoons of dried herb in 1 cup distilled water; use as an eyewash no more than a day. Or you can get eyebright tincture and put 2 drops in an eyecup with distilled water.

For your sinuses, if you don't want to fill your jouse with the smell of eucalyptus you can make a tent: Fill your bathroom sink with hot water add a few drops or eucalytus oil or you can use mint leaves too. Make a "tent" over your head with a towel. this is also good for peeps with acne problems. It opens the pores and makes skin more amenable to cleansing.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Donna, so good to hear from you. Wow most kids are scared to death to start at a new school. She must really like school. Now I can send the patio pal cd to you ^_^

Lancaster, OH(Zone 6a)

Yes yes plese do send me the cd.. It will be awhile before I can work on them but I definately want to play with that cd and cant wait untli we are back on track..

I guess Im a bit OCD.. lol

Marilyn Glen st. Mar, FL(Zone 9a)

happy Birthday Robin, sorry Deborah I missed your birthday yesterday, but please accept a belated Happy Birthday. I hope both you ladies have and had a great day.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

yep, Cindy... I have read that email... and felt like I was living it yesterday.
I've got to stay focused today... now, just to get up from here and get started, that's the issue.

All those remedies are good ones Cindy... but I find just plain steam, with nothing in it helps my sinuses too. I sit at the bar, with the towel over my head, and bend over a bowl of steaming water... it really helps a lot. Although, I don't really get many headaches... it's nice to know what to do.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Oh, Yea... got side tracked and forgot to say Happy Happy to Robyn !!!

Happy B'day Robyn !!!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Even when you take a shower you can put some drops on a wash cloth lay it in the bottom and let the spray hit it. So good!!!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Happy Birthday, Robyn!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROBIN Hope you have a Glorious Day.Now that song "Rock-in Robin" is going through my head........LOL.It was one of my favorites as a pre-teen.

Hello Kim so nice to see you on here.

I think momma is a tad be better today. But it has been a roller coaster ride for the last 3 years, and just a matter of time. She can be fine one minute and at a flip of a switch be bad.For the last 3 years or so every morning ,almost before my eyes are open I pick u the phone beside the bed and call her, just to make sure she answers. And then every couple hours if she hasn't called me.So if we are ever talking and I disappear,I have dial-up and have it set up so I can see who is calling and disconnect and answer instantly. And I'll do that if it is her.I carry the phone with me everywhere, from the bathroom to the flower garden. And I have timed it,momma lives 8 miles from me going the back roads and I can get there in 6 minutes. And to look at my momma ,you'd never think anything was wrong,I have more grey hair than she does....LOL.

Morning All,
Well I want to say Happy Birthday to Robin and to all I have missed... I am sorry it is late to some... But I mean it just as much ^_^
The sun is shining here today and boy we need it as it has rained and stormed for days now... We have had tornado warnings for the past three nights... We are suppose to get storms tonight also we need the rain as we have been in a drought but I am on a large water table but I will be floating away soon...LOL My flowers are growing...LOL
Yesterday at work was a real trip for me... I had a puppy beat the crap out of me and he weighed 68 pounds... He rocked my world...LOL Then we got a phone call and she was very serious when asking.. She said " I have a problem "and I said well maybe I can help... She then started telling me how her cat was up in a tree and she did not know how to get it out... I said "and" how can I help... She said can't you come here and get her out??? I said Miss how do you think I can get it out... She said you are the Vet?? I said no I am not but she is older then I am... I said please call your local fire department as I was a monkey in my younger years but not now....LOLOLOLOL That was a first in all my almost 15 years...
I am hoping to have a nice lazy day... I hope all of you are doing well and I always keep you all in my prayers....
Hugs,
Turtle :-)

Pittsburg, MO(Zone 6b)

Thank you everyone and Happy Birthday Deb you can keep celebrating with me and no it doesn't mean you gettin any older.

No rain at the moment so I'm going out and fight the ticks for a little while and try to get some trees in the ground.

I wanted to remind myself to tel Linda Kay if you haven't bought your asparagus yet to try and find 2 or 3 year plants. You'll get a crop quicker than going with a 1 year old plant. With a 2 year plant you might get crops next year, with a 3 year plant you will get some this year. 1 yr plant will produce in a couple of years.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hey Robyn, thanks for the advice, but I think it was BJ, and CIndy talking about aspargus? No veggies here, other than dads topsy turvy tomatoes.
Hope your not getting those nasty storms I keep seeing on the weather channel!
Watch those ticks, they are nasty little buggers!

LK

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Happy Birthday to the birthday chicks. Wish your day is a perfect day. Thanks Cindy for the home remedy. Hello again Synda.

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

I'm Rockin' Robyn round the clock with Robyn today! Happy Birthday girl friend!

Whew just finished working in the dirt. Still have a bed around a Crape Myrtle tree that I'm going to plant bronze begonias. Need to tear out the pansies. Maybe later today. dunno.

Coushatta, LA

Thanks LK,yes we are much better thanks.

Happy Birthday Robin, and wish you many, many more to come.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Happy Birthday Robin!!!

Cindy, I ordered that Herb Book Got it on Amazon for .01 with 3.99 shipping! Can't wait for it to get here!!

BJ, I am exhausted just reading all that!! keep trying for the Turtle Pictures....!!

Jaye, hope you get the sinus problems under control....they used to bother me a lot but not so much any more....thankfully.

Have to go to Seattle and pick up Shawn and Lisa at the airport so will catch you tonight!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Oh Trisha Jaye is going to be mad. She paid $2.00 and $3.00 for shipping. It's a neat book, but some of the plants are hard to find. There's a woman who lives down the road here, she also a DG member, she sells herbs. DUH why haven't I dmailed her to see if she has the plants. Her website is moving, so it's down for the time being.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

What are some of the hard to find plants?????

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Motherwort (leonurus cardiaca) for one. That is for the Menopause. I can find the other 5.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Afternoon all, well I finally managed to get a good nights sleep!!! No clue why other than I must have really been tired.

Deborah, dear, I am so sorry, looking back I realized I neglected to wish you a happy birthday!! Shame on me, I will punish myself for that--15 lashes!!! Hope it was the bestest ever and they will continue to get even better.

Robyn, Happy Birthday to you. Enjoy the day to the fullest.

Ladies, what are we ever going to do with all the sinus problems? Seems like it has hung on longer this year or am I just forgetting last year already? Could be as I have developed a serious case of CRS!!!

Trying to get my dinner cooked early today as Kim has an order for a birthday cake. Means the kitchen has to be available as soon as she gets in from work. This one is to be a volcano for a boy's 7th birthday party. Good thing she is creative as I would not have any clue where to start.

Waiting on the septic people to come. I guess I am the only one not really shocked at the hook up fees. They can run that plus high down here. Luckily or maybe not, there is no sewer line to be hooked into so my mind is working over time. Afraid it might require an entirely new drain field and that will not be any fun!! UrrrrH!!!

Well need to get back to my list of chores and continue waiting................................................

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

I can find the dried or oils but no live plants.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Looks like it will be a fun day when I get back from Seattle....the fridge won't stop running. Looks like I will have to transfer everything to the deep freeze and mom's spare fridge until I can maintenance to come look at it.....it is only 15 + years old, don't know why it would go out?

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

I'm so sick to my stomache. I found out that Rick joined Facebook of Sex and has been chatting and veiwing pictures of naked women. Yep, I'm out of here. I'm going to confront him with it when he gets back from fishing. I will probably moving out of here by the end of the month. He has been visiting quite a few porn sites. Awhile back I had noticed it and mentioned it and he just laughed and said it was a man thing. But what I saw is just downright GROSS!!!!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Oh Cindy, I wish I were closer--you could certain come here! How upsetting for you.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Where will you go? Does he own the place you are living in now?
Please be careful, and keep us posted.
