Happy Mother day evening to all.
Debbie, Huge hugs to you mom! Isn't it awsom, that Justin called you, my tears welled up here.
Mary, wow glad the party was huge success.
LOL Betty, I guess you did save some to do's! heheh, good for you! Wow, I am amazed at the beuty of the stained glass. so nice to see your work throughout the gardens...and i seemed to always smile at your helpers, so sweet.
Waving hello, Trisha...sounds like a nice day.
Liz, big smiles and hugs, hope you had a great visit!
Carol, Your Macro photo's are splendid!! what beautiful flowers.
Crissy, How exciting, will be keeping you in thoughts and prayers for a wonderul cruise.
OMG...I had such a spectular weekend!!
Saturday, worked in the yard, ROFLOL, hands on the hips, yep, more weedeing...Just beyond the Jumangi Rose garden, I started to hand till and remove weeds, Drumroll please, Tadah, think i have graduated in the gardening world, as i made space, I actually panted!!
This year i have decided to do that as I go. For years I have been trying to just keep the area clear. Big giant step for me, so I can laugh at how dumb that idea was. Oh and the nicest thing was Breenie girl came out and helped me with two rows! We chattered about this and that and had a really nice visit.
We had a really nice Mothers Day today. I got to sleep in till 12:30!! Then Steve made me a rather sloppy ham chees and mushroom omelet..lol..was delicious...retreated to my room and watched Armegedon, Again.lol.
Three oclock my ILs came andf we bbq...I make the best burgers, so thats the only thing I "had" to do. I must admit we had a very nice day, I get a little overwhelemed with them as they all talk very loud and usually argument over the most indane things but not today, was very nice. MIL and I had a very nice chat about many things and that was really a special kind of bonding for us...Death always come up, and today was no different, but we also talked of our sisters, I think she just needed know someone cared how much she misses hers.
My kids showered me with a gorgeous Fushia, 2 packs of Salveria, which I love. An Impatient, and this huge card that they created a photo collage in...what a great idea! and Jacob Presented me with an absolutely stunning flower! I have no clue what it is but wow!
...and...Betty, Liz and everybody, I am so jumping up and down with excitement! At long last, ROFLOL, i got tears, i so happy...A Weed Wrench is on the way!!!!! Just the one i wanted and the size...yippee yahooie, I got a tool! OMG, I have waited and waited for what a Year? OHWAHHH Seee, just little patience here, I am so spoiled. Hear that weeds? Mumma's takin over!
Oh and how incredibly cool to watch my kids "play" together. Last night we had so much fun, they all the sudden played volleyball in the dark...We had a spectacular fire and goofed off well into the morning...
This morning they went and bought themselves a Batmitten setup and played a night game again! Come with an awsom carry bag so i know they'll be travelling to house with it.
and so I am now getting on computer,
Was nice to hear your stories and days.
You know, I just love You all!
With Peace, smile and wink.
Good night.
Judy
Best/ worse/ ? did you learn today? #103 visit with friends!
Morning, well it sounds as though we've all had OUR day filled with precious moments...
Debbie, I've enjoyed hearing what Shane and his group have been doing, much the same as the trip I took with the boys..he'll have so much to tell you (as though he hasn't already - aren't cel phones fantastic)...OMG for Justin to have called you just shows you what a fantastic lady you are...can imagine the tears of joy..must have made him feel special as well knowing what impact the call had on you...Happy Birthday to dear hubby...so much in just a few days..no wonder your up/down and twirling around...
Judy so please you got the 'tool' you were wanted and flower to plant..nothing nicer for a mom to watch her children playing/talking together..when my boys were young (being same age - both born in 1969 ) my thinking having them close together would bond them, NOPE, fought all the time..overwhelming it is to watch them now..never though it would happen, but did..
Yes, the dead are with us on these special occassions...we do miss them terribly and they are never forgotten..don't kow how many times grandma came to mind yesterday...
Mary, my mom and sister clash as well because they are so alike, you wouldn't want to tell them that though..could create a world war..are any of the children working this summer? Must be hard to find employment with all the unemployment going on...
feel sorry for those college/university students who have to earn $$$ for school...now what will they do?
As for trying to tell them where everything is, lordy I don't even know where everything is..other than my main insurance and pensions (which they get partial pmt) I have 2 other insurances I've paid since my 20's...out of my acct. each and every month..but to who???? should research who the bank is paying right..lol...
As for the stained glass..it's simply an window frame with glass still in it...mosaic glass glue, just used up glass remnants from projects, this time I bought bobbles from the dollar store and added them..left it overnight then made a mixture of grout..easy/easy project and yet looks pretty on back deck when sun is shinning...
Needless to say the gardens around the pond are well watered..yesterday when cleaning I had the hose on, set it in the pond as not to have water puddles all over the ground, yep, forgot it on, overflowed and about 2" of water in the beds..either will clean or drown those pretty plants...
should vacuum, get my painting supplies ready for class tonight, drats, I'm exhausted and now have to have a late night..maybe I'll power nap at work..
Just went out and took photo of a grassy area...see my invasive..have no clue as to how I'll rid myself of it now that much of chemicals have been band if not all...
Judy I did keep some 'to do's ... there is no need for a list for this upcoming long weekend...finish the patio, put up the cafe birdhouse..plant my seeds and enjoy..lol
Ooooh, amongst this silver folliage, I've several lilly's coming up...now that that garden will grow against the patio and I'll enlarge the pond size to touch the other side of the patio I'll pick up more lilly's and plant...knew somehow I'd have more gardens...
morning all,
hope you all had a nice mothers day..
judy yaaaaay finally got your garden tool! now where is your cell phone? lol
sounds like a good day for you, well i survived! a couple of gin and tonics lol
my mom and sister only acted up once my poor nephew ordered new york steak omg you should of heard those two on the fact it was cooked med omg i had to tell them both to leave him alone,
we laughed at them and told them thats why their always sick they worry about every illness from every form of poultry and beef and pork, we even said maby if you ate like normal people life would be much easier for them he he he you should of seen the looks i got from them, they know better than to start that what if stuff if im there.
wow my uncles resturant is right on the ocean i was shocked how much he raised his prices the steaks were 30.00 and i ordered a combo crab and shrip louis holy cow 22.50
food was good but wow wont be going there except for special occassions lol
even granny behaved and didnt point fingers.
betty, wow good day for you to your yard is sure coming to life
how nice to have the boys working away, poor fil is becoming discouraged i know he is being impatient from his back surgery, he is wanting to be back up and walking but it will take time.
mary sounds like a wonderful day for you, oh ya their to much a few drinks and the whoa me what they did to me 40 years ago comes out, one of thease days im going to tell them lol to go to church and light a candle for that person! i guess its just their(my family)nature to be big drama queens, funny dh says your family is diggny i told him i tried to warn you years ago gave you every opportunity to run lol now your stuck .
oh great look at the time here we go again running behind hello to all have a wonderful day
Good morning, Where is our Tubby?
Judy, is the new tool like a garden weasel with the twirly things on the bottom to help get the weeds out? I have never heard of the garden wrench...but will look it up. I think I named my weeds...they sit and laugh at me because they know I don't know the difference between a weed and a flower!
Mary, it sounds like the party was great! Are you going to share a few pictures? I would love to see them. With that many kids, it sounds like everything went very smoothly.
Betty, it sounds like you had a great day also....and your son pitching a tent in the back yard, my kind of guy! LOL Now to know if he is really a "die hard" earthy guy....did he have an air mattress under the sleeping bag? LOL Will he be up with you this week also? I know you will enjoy the company.
Well, DH is home for the week on vacation....today being his birthday. Suppose I should do a wifely thing and make him a breakfast....does Lucky Charms count? I mean, really! OK, maybe some pancakes, not touching his smelly sausage, I think I just got the house rid of the stink from last time it was cooked.
Have a wonderful day...
Debbie
Mary-it's Lewisia Little Plum-not real small, but a pretty compact plant
Betty-I think it was Carol that said what you have-I think she's right-do you use like weed and feed or anything on your lawn??
Morning everyone. I am back home and still tired, even though I slept 12 hours last night! Just gonna take some time for me to re coop! I just skimmed over the post, so I hope I did not miss too much!
betty I did see your pretty new glass frame! So nice and bright!
Hope you all had a wonderful Mothers Day!
LK
Thanks for the Thoughts and Prayers to Chris & Christy's family. The funeral is Saturday and we won't be here to go, I'm very saddened by that but there's nothing I can do.
You all are going to hear all about my cruise! LOL Going to have a good time and catch a tan!
I need to get to work, another busy week and I'm going to try to leave early Friday, who knows!
Betty that looks like a lot of work, what pretty glass!!!
Rain rain rain rain and more rain!
Rain rain go away
Come again some other day!
Debbie, everything that Jeff is buying has to be micro because of the little space that the kayak has for storage, he's now working of groceries..not sure what kind of food he'll be bringing..I told him that there are restaurants in nearby towns next to the trent so just go eat..nope, wants to do it right..his bedding was amazing, nothing more than the weight of sheets, pull a plug and it fills itself with air...as for water because he'd de-hydrate, he bought a unit that you put the tube in any kind of water...i.e. brown water and it goes through a system and comes out pure...the stove is basically wires/cup, can hold it in my hand...although I'm worried about his 14 days on his own..
Liz sounds as though the day was enjoyable for you..good eats...maybe it's your families way of enjoying each others company, cabitzing around...
Linda Kay, hope all goes well for your dad/brother..now tell me, what will you do with all this extra time on your hands...would gardening be one of them..
AnnMarie, praying for you 'sweetie' ... are you home?
Let is rain Crissy so that when you start your cruise it will be rained out....I'm sure Christy and family will understand why you are unable to attend...does someone do your job while you are away or do you have to come back to double the work load...
Stacey, no weed and feed for the lawn..most of it is pure sand (probably why I was able to dig 4' deep to make my pond by hand) and the other is just a bit of soil over rock..not the best mixture...in fact Kyle while raking for the patio stones went on the tell me how uneven the back yard is..when I explained it really should all be landscaped, he said 'not complaining grandma, just thought I'd tell you it was uneven'...
Kyle took my bike out yesterday, checked it out and told me it was ready for the bike-a-thon and that he would drop by from time to time and we could do some riding to get me used to doing the 15kl. ride...
Jeff says I'll not do it because I haven't biked in 3 years..I told him 3 years isn't a long time, he went on to say that when you are young, 3 years isn't much, but when you are old, those 3 years are an eternity..nice kid right..
My sister sharon has been e-mailing me from Paris..she certainly is enjoying herself...
Mom told me yesterday morning when I called that my youngest brother Mike had an accident..he took the work truck home so he could pick up topsoil, shrubs...the back tailgate wouldn't open so he got in the truck box, kicked it open and doing so fell out and onto the wheelbarrel..broken hard and bruises...
Betty, first of all, will put your brother Mike in my thoughts and prayers.
I have to tell you a funny. I got on my bike last year. It had only been a year since I was on, but I hadn't rode it much when I was on. So I decide I am going to ride down to the lake and back. Three miles down, I can sit and rest....had a water bottle with me. Well Betty, I made it about 2 miles down, took a break....and I had what is called jello legs. Got back on and made it to the lake, rested again.....and then came back home. Betty, I got off that bike, and DH had to help me walk in the house! I layed on the floor...my kids laughing hysterically, and my legs having horrible spasms and feeling like jello. Now, the worse part....I was so bad...I couldn't walk...and literally wet myself (which I think was in part laughing so hard) trying to get to the bathroom....and had to crawl.
SO, this is from someone who used to ride 15 miles no problem....and now, I am scared of the thing. I am SURE it was the seat....and not my "seat" being too big...and my legs being..ummmm...much older!
Debbie, I bought a new bike a few months ago, and it took me awhile to get my legs back also, but I just started out with small trips, around the block! Please don't over do it! I know it is funny for us to read, but not for you at the time!
Betty, I will be doing what ever comes to mind. Gardening, sewing... As much as I was looking forward to my Brother taking him, as they pulled out of the drive way, and had to go back to the house so he would not seeme cry! I know he will be in good hands, but I guess I miss him already?
It was so much colder in Amarillo, like 63 for the high temp, and low 40's at night, they had to turn on the heaters. Then I get back home, and it is pushing 100! Just a temp change, and I am all stuffy, not to mention tired. it will take me a few days to re-coop!
LK
Debbie, so laughing (not really) but your post made me think of when I was in Clearwater Florida with my girlfriend Diane, we decided to rent bikes and to to Tarpon Springs...going was fun, coming back pure hell..infact, about the last 3 miles we just walked our biked, couldn't even life our legs onto the peddles...so will start out gradually..if too much I won't do the entire trip, will have someone pick me up in Midland..but i will try..
Can only imagine LindaKay how you felt..with him not being in good health it would surely be a worry for you...had a few plants that I set outside bite the dust...I had meant to bring them inside last night but forgot..good lesson..calling for frost tonight and tomorrow night..sure hope the gardens will withstand the frost..imagine they are mature enough now that it will be ok and I'll not have to cover...
Painting class tonight..only one more Monday and I'll not sign up for anything more on Monday nights until fall...
Judy, meant to tell you I stopped at the drug store this morning to look for that gardening project book..someone must now be making MY project...lol...
I'll make it up this weekend just so you can see it..will teach me for not purchasing the book last week when I saw it...
Love all the bike stories......haven't been out as much as I should lately so 25 miles is about my limit right now......Many years ago we had a friend who decided to start riding....he was 60, had been smoking for about 40 years and decided it was time to get in shape....he got out his new bike and rode the 6 blocks around his neighborhood his wife had to help him climb up the steps to get in the house......he quit smoking and kept riding within a year he was doing 100 mile rides with us. We hand another friend who started riding with us in her forties...Bill had to teach her how to ride.....she is now 74 still riding.....I forget how many times, starting in her mid forties until recently, that she has won her age group in the Iron Man Triathlon in Haiwaii among other races. Another friend did a bike ride across the U.S. a few years ago at age 70 ......I couldn't do it! Just don't let them tell you you are getting too old....as long as you work up to it you can do whatever you set your mind to.
Wow, Trisha that's inspirational..although all my evening are booked right now, I'll get out the next 2 weekends for little outings, work myself into the 15K which by your standards isn't far..going to do it, that's all there is to it...
Beautiful lily, from this year?
My son brought me the Lily yesterday.....all buds so I could enjoy it longer....this one was opened this morning......I love lilies!!!
Color is striking..now you'll put it into the garden?
You all got me hooked last year on lilly's..this year I'll be on the lookout for more .. July 1st I remember going to Barrie and on the way was Elmvale town garage sale and I bought 3 or 4 lilly's..this year I'll be on the lookout and filling my car...
I will be putting it outside...and definitely looking for more. I a couple of beautiful Stargazers that I got from a neighbor....I love them.!
Well off to take mom shopping...back later.
Hi All Had to have a snack..Read a little..Just got this..LOL

I was getting worried about you "Tubby" and here you are with the joke of the day, or was it a joke...more reality than I care to admit..
Betty, so sorry about your brother. Thoughts and Prayers that he heals real fast.
I do have someone I share jobs with but doesn't help too much, plus I'm trying to learn a ton, so I'll probably come back with double the work. I'll be gone from this Fri til the 24th and I don't feel like doing a darn thing at work.
We're going to see my friend tomorrow after work, so that'll be good. I know that's why I don't want to work, I'm just sad. Dave tears up over it. He said, "Chris kept me out of trouble." which is true!
What a pretty Lily!!
Betty, do you remember how long the Ducks tour lasted in DC? Shane called here at 5:15....and they were still in DC, just then heading out. Their tour started at 1:00ish! LOL SO....they had to call all the parents....and tell them the kids wouldn't be home between 11 & 12 as planned, more like 3:00 - 4:00 am.! LOL They still have to stop on the way home so the kids can get dinner somewhere also.
DH just got home from DD's...another day of working on the flooring with SIL. I didn't go over today. I have been home cooking his birthday meal, and "the cake". Gave Shannon the job of decorating it. LOL M&Ms and frosting...yummy!
Ok, the kids are arriving.
Be back in a bit.
Debbie
Shirley was really cracking the whip today..LOL
Spent all day in the garden..Oh but she had to go grocery shopping..
then later she had to go pick up some potting soil and an apple tree.. I HAD TO STAY IN GARDEN..Huuuuumm...LOL..."My Chose"
We did good got a lot done..
Today is International Disturbed People's Day
I don't care if you lick windows,
take the special bus
or occasionally pee on yourself..
You hang in there sunshine, you're darn special.
Hello All!
Hey Tubby - Good one!
Judy - LOL - Badmitton! We were talking about badmitton at DD1's party. I was telling DD BF's Mom about bringing badmitton up to the Band Room before a game and Band Director rolling his eyes at me....No one was gonna play that ! Wrong! Have pics of the whole band with Badmitton...
This was the Mom that encouraged DD1 to put out Candyland at her S16 party....couldn't believe it....had about 4 boys (17 yr olds mind you) playing it!
Betty - Well the kids get out of school next Thurs & DD's go to '2 week visitation'...it'll take us the rest of the summer to get them back to baseline. DD1 is the job seeker - she might look for one. DS and I are going to take our quick trip...then he's going to take a couple summer school classes to try to lift his GPA....I wish I could get him to get a job...but he'll have his plate full..
Your DS's Camping Gear sounds like something from the Future! Wow - he must be High-Tech!
Liz - Uncle's restaurant sounds NICE! Was it yummy?
stacey - Lewisia Little Plum....I'll have to look it up.
Crissy - T & P. I know when I have to deal with stuff like that. (not to use the "d" word)...I find it very very hard to make it into work....The way that employers deal with that in the US is truly an abomination. 3 days for a relative / 0 for a friend? That's just crazy.
LK - ((((HUGS)))) for missing Dad. I know that must be hard but rest up and you'll see him in a few months, correct?
Trisha - I do need to learn more about planting lilies...if it's possible in our heat. I love their tropical look...and I do have a good spot....(again if I can with our heat)
Hey Debbie - Do tell us about the DC Trip! He's probably exhausted!
We had DD2's Track and Field Banquet tonight. I tell you - May is just one of those months where literally everything happens!
I'm back to my strict 11p bedtime...but I'll check back in a bit.
Hugs,
Mary
Nite All...
Smile..
This one really brought a tear to my eye.......
very moving.
A father watched his young daughter playing in the garden. He smiled
as he reflected on how sweet and pure his little
girl was. Tears formed in his eyes as he thought about her seeing the
wonders of nature through such innocent eyes.
Suddenly she just stopped and stared at the ground. He went over to
her to see what work of God had captured her attention
He noticed she was looking at two spiders mating.
Daddy, what are those two spiders doing?' she asked.
'They're mating,' her father replied.
'What do you call the spider on top?' she asked.
'That's a Daddy Longlegs,' her father answered.
'So, the other one is a Mommy Longlegs?' the little girl asked.
As his heart soared with the joy of such a cute and innocent question he
replied, 'No dear. Both of them are
Daddy Longlegs.'
The little girl, looking a little puzzled, thought for a moment, then
lifted her foot and stomped them flat.
'Well, we're not having any of that gay stuff in our garden!' she said.
Morning All
For those lucky to still be blessed with your Mom this is beautiful. For those of us who aren't, this is even more beautiful.
The young mother set her foot on the path of life. "Is this the long way?" she asked. And the guide said: "Yes, and the way is hard. And you will be old before you reach the end of it. But the end will be better than the beginning."
But the young mother was happy, and she would not believe that anything could be better than these years. So she played with her children, and gathered flowers for them along the way, and bathed them in the clear streams; and the sun shone on them, and the young Mother cried, "Nothing will ever be lovelier than this."
Then the night came, and the storm, and the path was dark, and the children shook with fear and cold, and the mother drew them close and covered them with her mantle, and the children said, "Mother, we are not afraid, for you are near, and no harm can come."
And the morning came, and there was a hill ahead, and the children climbed and grew weary, and the mother was weary. But at all times she said to the children, "A little patience and we are there."
So the children climbed, and when they reached the top they said, "Mother, we would not have done it without you."
And the mother, when she lay down at night looked up at the stars and said, "This is a better day than the last, for my children have learned fortitude in the face of hardness. Yesterday I gave them courage. Today, I have given them strength."
And the next day came strange clouds which darkened the earth, clouds of war and hate and evil, and the children groped and stumbled, and the mother said: "Look up. Lift your eyes to the light." And the children looked and saw above the clouds an everlasting glory, and it guided them beyond the darkness.
And that night the Mother said, "This is the best day of all, for I have shown my children God." And the days went on, and the weeks and the months and the years, and the mother grew old and she was little and bent. But her children were tall and strong, and walked with courage.
And when the way was rough, they lifted her, for she was as light as a feather; and at last they came to a hill, and beyond they could see a shining road and golden gates flung wide. And mother said: "I have reached the end of my journey. And now I know the end is better than the beginning, for my children can walk alone, and their children after them." and the children said, "You will always walk with us, Mother, even when you have gone through the gates." And they stood and watched her as she went on alone, and the gates closed after her. And they said: "We cannot see her, but she is with us still. A Mother like ours is more than a memory. She is a living presence."
Your Mother is always with you. She's the whisper of the leaves as you walk down the street; she's the smell of bleach in your freshly laundered socks; she's the cool hand on your brow when you're not well. Your Mother lives inside your laughter. And she's crystallized in every tear drop. She's the place you came from, your first home; and she's the map you follow with every step you take. She's your first love and your first heartbreak, and nothing on earth can separate you... Not time, not space...not even death!
MAY WE NEVER TAKE OUR MOTHERS FOR GRANTED!
Control what you can,
let go of the rest.
Bless you. My heart is full and I thank you.
Morning all,
Barb, how are you doing 'sweetie'...I think of you often!
"Tubby" it's just 9 and you've made me laugh and cry..what a beautiful post about 'mom'..I can see Debbie wiping the tears from her eyes as well...
Crissy, death takes the wind right out of your sails, no wonder you don't feel like working..I'm with Mary, can't understand knowing the importance of friendship, some making friends more like family than family...am hoping you both enjoy your cruise...
Speaking of cruises...Carol where I go paint was telling me last night that there is a 'painters' cruise out of Miami next spring..might be interesting to take...
Mary, it's hard to get back into a routine..I'm finding with 4 late nights it takes a lot out of me...Wasn't till 10:30 pm when I got home last night..
Had a bit of a scare..all the lights were on in the house and Greg's truck was there..I came in and he put down the channel changer..I'm thinking, something terrible has happened and he's here to tell me about it...all was well, he said the family were all sleeping and he thought before the weekend came and I was out he'd best come to pick up their season passes for Paramount Wonderland Theme Park..he'd lost them once before, think they went out with garbage at Christmas time, so I had them replaced...Jeff and his family went last weekend, think he and Greg's family will meet up this weekend and spend the day ..thank goodness that's all it was...and yet, I kept thinking he wanted to say something but didn't..my imagination I'm sure...Mary, you'll find the house quiet with the girls gone..
Trisha, how is Laura making out? Is she feeling better, is she all organized and ready to take up planning her gardens?
Debbie, DS home safely? Bet he has a zillion things to tell you..what did he enjoy the best....wow, that was a late arrival..
Morning Betty. How did you garden do with the frost? Not too much damage I hope?
LK
Shame on you Terry!!! I was laughing my butt off on the laxative and sleeping pill, and then crying over the last one-shame on you mister!!
Morning Stacey, how you doing today?
Has anyone heard from Anjl in awhile? I do hope she is doing OK?
LK
Betty, you called it....wiping tears! Very nice one Tubby.
Shane got home at 2:10 a.m. The boy was sooo wound up, apparently he was the only one not sleeping on the bus...and I have a feeling he did a good job of keeping the bus driver awake.
He was proud of gifts he gave everyone, I got a cherry blossom t-shirt, a shot glass (my first ever! LOL) with all the monuments on it, and Godiva chocolate! LOL He saw the store and told their chaparone he "HAD" to go in there. I love that kid! LOL
I must say I am surprised at his "eye" for what to take pictures of. It wasn't your normal point and shoot type pictures...but intricate details of things that caught his eye. Stained glass windows, chandaliers, lighting effects, certain historical phrases that touched him.....but his favorite.....and from this picture...you will know he is 100% my boy.
His favorite picture.....the DC mall duck! He was amazed the duck came right up to him. Now mind you...he is a farm boy! Goes to the city and finds a duck.
Debbie
No news from AnnMarie, will d-mail her..thought I had done so yesterday but must not have pressed -send-...drats old age..forget to do the simplest things..she had thought she'd be home by now...starting to worry...wish I had her telephone number...
LindaKay, must not have gotten frost last night, looked for the extended weather forcast for our region as it's our long weekend this weekend, Sat. rain, cold temps at night, so won't the nicest weather...won't be planting anything...if I can get the patio finished and new cusions for wicker set, then I'll be pleased as punch
Stacey, what have you been up to of late?
LindaKay, are you getting to sleep in?
Jeannine, if you are peeking in, so sorry about Darcy's death..sending you warm hugs....
Knew you'd be crying...
Is interesting isn't it..Kyle took all the photo's of our trip and took it quite seriously..love the photo of the duck..you must frame it...chocolates..lucky you...
Surely they did not have to go to school today did they?
Betty they DID have to go to school! The teachers on the trip said "we are expected to be there...so the students should be also.!" I did let him sleep in late, and took him in at 9:00 instead of 7:30....I told the office I did the teachers a favor.
My one disappointment....there are no pictures of him on the trip! However, I did pay extra for the "class photo" on the Capital Building steps....because I have a picture of my mom on the Capital Building steps with her high school class. He doesn't know I have it...but will show him when he gets his copy back.
I am sure I will have more stories when he gets back from school today.
I sleep in as late as I can, Guess my internal clock gets me up early! LOL I am always up no later than 7:00am.
Debbie, how very interesting, has he shown an interest in photography prior to this trip? You are right, not photo's one would have thought he'd have taken..love them..look forward to more...
LindaKay, my idea of sleeping in would be 7 or 8am but the body has it's own clock and although I'd love to give it a try, no go..even when I stay up after midnight, up I am before 5am...what will you do with your day? are you able to get outside?
Oh, I go outside first thing every morning, water the plants, talk to them, trim them if needed. Then I watch the hummers before it gets too hot!
