For me it was last week. My husband and I were discussing our anniversary and he told me he was going to order me the item I liked in the Tiffany catalogue. I told him no that I had spent enough on plants and my new gardens that is enough (he has no idea the necklace would have got him off cheaper).
Today was our anniversary and I got a dozen roses and I ordered clematis from Brushwood....
I had the trout that was in the freezer mounted for him. I guess we both have our passions
What is the A-Ha moment when you knew you were obsessed?
years ago, when I answered the question 'what's on your xmas list' and I responded honestly with 'a dump truck full of composted manure'......
really, it's all I want!
Looking forward to my 'Mother's Day Manure'.....
LOL I kinda hinted at that same thing for Mother's Day!
my kids think I'm seriously flawed, that I actually WANT manure as a Gift... one son insists that it's not a real gift...... to me it's gold!
Some women say give me diamonds and give me gold. I say give me compost!!
Kelly
P.S. I think my husband likes the fact that I am now less high maintenance - lol.
Mine thinks I am more high maintenance since I keep making him dig. I think he would take my shoe shopping over making him haul dirt anyday.
I think I need new crocs......
Oh, right! Mother's Day is Sunday . . . and my kids have been plotting all week. May be some manure in the making - lol!!
Blomma - I agree. Did we ever think we'd grow up to want a pile of manure in our backyard???
OK Guys!! wait untill you are my decrepid age and a widow and all you want is a spot tilled up for Mothers day and you'll buy a sack of chicken litter. I've got 9 tomato plants 4 pepper plants, 2 cuke hills and 1 cantelope hill and i'm in heaven. My SIL and grandson fixed it for me.
how about the best way to spend a birthday ever is to go to a round up with a bunch of strangers in another state! and to be just so happy that you did
The very first minute that I put a shovel into the ground and saw that rich brown dirt I could not wait to get my hands in it! I was addicted when I put my first plant into the ground.
Last year was my first attempt at gardening. Like I said...I just loved it as soon as I put that first plant into the ground. I love the flowers. I love the dirt. I love that feeling that you get in June when everything is bloomed out to its fullest. I just love it...:)
