stargazer lily pollen stains

Wichita, KS(Zone 6a)

I have a beautiful bunch of stargazers coming up. One of the ladies at work was telling me the other day that she received some stargazers in a bouquet and got some of the orange pollen (?) on her shirt and it stained very badly. Aside from trying not to get any of it on clothing, does anyone have any tips and tricks to get out the staining by-products such as pollen from various different flowers?

For lilies, the best thing to do is pinch off the tips of the stamens before you bring them in the house, that way you don't have to worry about the pollen. That's a lot easier than trying to get the stain out after the fact. If you do get it on clothing, most places I've read about it say you shouldn't wet the pollen, instead use a piece of tape to try and lift it off the clothing. Then once you've got most of it off, you can try one of your regular stain removers to get rid of the little bit that's left. http://www.iflorist.co.uk/p-636-lily.aspx

I just read to put the item out in the sun. White spirits can be used on carpets and furniture not so sure about clothing.
