Willow.... I'll make a new thread for you first thing when I get up in the morning (which wont be all that early I'm sure). Do you have an idea for the name?

Or does anyone else have an idea for a new name?

How about "Here's a Shot I like a lot"?

Or "wish you could see what I see."

Or "you MAY see this in May"

Thanks Bea! I love that trillium. every time I see it though, it's a mix of happy and frustrated for me though. I had 4 or 5 others there on the edge of that bed, which lines the driveway, and over time people have managed to miss the driveway (12' wide and flat - learn to drive people) and drive up onto that bed. They hit my miniature hosta's and all of the sessile trilliums, except that one... which I love that one!

Irwells.... that plantar is Lovely!!

PNWMG.... I love all of those ideas. Now to remember all of them for future use!! I'm thinking that I'll use the one for May since it's sort of on a timeline and use the others later. I really like that 'wish you could see what I see ' as well.

Irwells, love the planter. What do you have planted in it? Sorry, I haven't had enough coffee yet to clear my brain.

southern willamette , OR(Zone 7a)

Sorry Portland, I'll have to keep that in mind for future use! I'd already started on the new thread when you posted.

Posting on this thread because it pertains to Irwells container garden.

Irwells, that's a great container. I know that Fine Gardening has container contests in the summers - if they are doing one this year, I definitely think you should submit yours.

What are the plantings in it (for those of us who want to , er, um, "share" some of your combination ideas)?

If I remember correctly, agastache, purple salvia, artemesia, some kind of multi colored sedum that I can't remember the name of, and I think I'll have to enlarge the picture to remember the rest.

Woodinville, WA(Zone 8b)

That looked like Agastache Tutti Frutti. ?? I love it. I had two, but one died over the winter - the one bed where I can put sun-loving perennials is all clay and has no drainage. So my Salvia and Agastache really suffer. Maybe I need to treat them as annuals or just put them in pots and find a good way to overwinter them.

Love that cool color combination.

Okay, some sort of purplish daisy looking flower I also don't remember the name of, gomphrena (sp?) and I'm drawing a complete blank on the tall one on the back right. I know I'll feel like an idiot when I remember it.

Just in case we missed the turn.....

Here's the map to the new thread! : http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/985936/

(Lynn) Paris, TX(Zone 7b)

Pentas! Had to finish here because the picture is on this thread!

southern willamette , OR(Zone 7a)

go for it! I just wasn't sure if "the turn" had been seen or not!
