Who's Got May Flowers?

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

I'm wondering if all the rain that parts of the state have been getting have brought some May flowers to your yards and gardens.

Here's a pair of twins on my tall coreopsis that's really starting to bloom like crazy.

How 'bout these squash blooms?

My pincushion daisy is still blooming like crazy. It's such a happy little thing, especially with all the rain we've recently had.

Your clematises (clemati?) are beautiful! What's the white daisy looking flower with your blue pincushion daisies?

(Lynn) Paris, TX(Zone 7b)

I'm afraid I have no idea - something they had at Home Depot that I thought looked good in the planter!

Well, whatever it is looks great with your pincushion daisy!

Clems: Crystal Light, Florida Sieboldii and Nelly Moser (that one's finished for the spring already). The squash, peppers and tomatoes are going crazy and I'm cutting blooms off herbs daily to keep them going. Green beans are getting ready to bloom.

New roses are blooming; established Climbing Pinkie and Madame Alfred Carriere had their best year and just finished the first spring flush. Plumbago, salvias and pomegranite tree are all in bloom now. Lots of daylily scapes coming up, but no daylily blooms yet.

A pretty maroon bloom on a miniature vine. The bloom is about the size of my thumbnail. You can see four buds at the two o'clock position growing along the tiny vine.

These wild flowers have been blooming in and around the garden since I have been here, 30 years.

Jerry, I could almost believe that's my property! Navajo Tea, Four-Nerve Daisy, Nerve-Ray, White Evolvulus, Blackfoot Daisy, Antelope Horns and Ratany. Well, I skipped the allergy thing, but I've got all the rest.

I received this day lily labeled "Butterscotch Ruffle" at the Central TX Fall RU last year. This is the first bloom.

I try so hard to turn these things blue. Last fall in September, October and November I put two handfuls of aluminum sulfate on this hydrangea. Still pink oh well its pretty.

Pretty blooms everyone! The gorgeous yellow of Stephanies' Coreopsis snagged my attention! I have enjoyed my poppy blooms and decided next year, I would seed them around my onions. The foliage colors are similar and I think it would be unusual to say the least.

Yesterday, my first daylily bloom. An early, unknown ID and fragrant...
